Anyone seen this good Aussie movie ? The people behind the marketing are encouraging you to download it via bit-torrent and spread the word etc. If you like it and would like to contribute then you can buy something like a hard copy on DVD amongst other things as well. A good concept btw and i hope it works for them.

I watched this the other night and really enjoyed it. I must say i do remember when the state govt really was planning to make use of the city's old underground water system. And amazingly i have never heard why it never went ahead [twilight zone music right about now please ]

Interestingly, by making it freely available to download it has already been viewed by 10s of 1000s more people than would ever have seen it if it was just showing at a couple of small cinemas.

Yep its a great way to market a film. Some musos/bands have done this as well. Next time you bump into your mate Hevy, ask him if they've made more money doing it this way, rather than have it screened at a couple of small cinemas for a price. And if so, how much more (a rough guess sort of thing). I'd really be interested to find out. Cheers
