Don't really care for twitter. No one would want to follow me and I don't particularly want to follow anyone. It seems most people use it to see what celebrities, politicians etc are up to. I really could not give a f**k what they do.

it's an excellent source of news, and you generally get news from sources instantly and this is why I love it.

I only use it for cricket news, naturally, but I am kept abreast of it very well through twitter

I use mine almost solely to promote the website, but I occasionally post a gem of amusing wisdom.

That is true, I can understand following certain people or companies for that reason but following friends who just post crap or celebs/sports people etc just to know what they are doing has no interest for me.

I used to use it for work. Then once I found that I could link the Facebook + Twitter accounts and post directly from Facebook I only needed to go to Twitter to confirm followers.

yeah, I don't follow such profiles. Heck, I unfollow some of my friends on facebook because I'm not interested in what they have to post there (on facebook it's called unsubscribe to)

you know you can get twitter to do that for you automatically without you having to log in

I bet you follow a large number of cricket players :p Thats the same thing.

Yes I have blocked many people from my feed on fb for that reason. I used to de friend but they just tend to add you again I figure instead of being rude/harsh I accept then filter their crap. I just use FB to see what friends are up to, pictures etc.
