For those how have noticed that forum is gone. It has been replaced, in an expanded role, with "The Fight Club" So all trolls feel free to post over there.

I have stated in another post I think this was a bad idea. The Legue/Union/AFL forum deserves to remain separate, not lumped in with the mindless personal arguments of the Fight Club.

I have to agree with Steve here. It deserves it's own category. ie League V Union V AFL.
I am a fan of the 'fight club' initiative, but like Steve do not see why it highjacked this particular forum.
Surley anything considered 'fight club' can be moved from this section as they will all other sections.

Thanks, Angry.

On the Fight Club idea, I go along with this quote I found on a boxing forum months ago:

I love these message boards-- going to war with someone whose face you have never seen, a war of words in which nobody wins...

Too true, but usually good for a laugh. It think the main thinking behind it however, is to take threads that have ended up as a personal duel and place them in a spot where people can continue if they like and not clutter up legitimate discussion. Previously I think deletion and locking where the alternatives, which many dislike - I like this answer. More or Less - take it outside.
But why did outside end up here?

I appeal to the admins/mods to restore this forum, and have the fight club or 'take it outside' section all by itself.

From my point of view I didn't like the old forum anyway. I've spent far to many years playing, watching and loving both games to care which is better. They each have their great aspects and crap points. And franky I think people who put done one code or the other are just petulant children.

That's a fair point. I can see why some people would get tired of the "yawn-yawn is boring" type posts. But I think there are also lots of good topics that could be discussed in a code vs code forum.

And, whether you liked the old forum or not, there was no logical reason to lump it in with the Fight Club forum which is dedicated to arguments between members and has nothing to do with footy. It may as well have been combined with the boxing forum - at least both are about fighting.

Lay off the boxing forum it is standalone.

Besides that the technical and skilled boxing forum posters would KO the amateur barroom brawlers from the fight club in one post. Just like Mike Tyson if he turns to K1.

Anyway, Wouldnt the Souths forum be more appropriate? There always fighting with each other and walking out on each other.

Sorry Bender, it was just an example, I wasn't really suggesting it.

BTW, I haven't checked the boxing forum in a while - any sign of Javaman?

No, Javaman is MIA, along with quite a few others who were brilliant posters at LWOS but have not made the transition to TFR.

One of the great shames of the big bang evolution here

I think I have made a fair argument here that the RL-RU-AFL forum did not deserve to be lumped in with the new Fight Club forum. I think if you go to the FC page now all the code vs code threads have been buried by Fight Club threads. I think the RU vs RL topics will heat up when the 2 seasons start up. Any response from the powers that be on splitting the 2 unrelated sections up again?

I agree, can someone acknowledge the concerns raised and supply an answer please?

Personally I got sick of it, I stopped going into the forum, as it always generated into a personal slang match, and if the trols could not reply to your post they would resort to the yawion crap or get personal. Who needs that ?

Fair point Bayrep, but there still could be some quality discussion in it, and it deserves to stand alone for those who do like it.

Canadian Steve,

This site is a League site, they (those that own it) only pay lip service to public (user) opinion. They are only interested in the promotion of league...they would perpetuate the myth of League as a genuine international sport and as such must stymie any discussion that questions that position. Over the period of time this and LWOL have existed the promotion of a False history of the real and imitation code of Rugby has dazzled and bemused those that have lived through the period. keep up your Crusade....U MIGHT TOUCH A NERVE...I doubt it...they do not like truth. :( :( :(

For the record, I don't agree with Mango's comments. I like both codes, though I only get to see union on TV here. I am interested in the comparisons of the 2 codes, players switching between the 2, etc. My comments above in this thread are about keeping the old code vs code section separate from the Fight Club section. I'm not trying to "touch a nerve" or crusade against league, I just want the original section to be returned to thew way it was.

Also, Mango, LWOS was one league forum that put in a union section a few years ago, when other league forums were not open to union discussion at all. So the admins here, who came from LWOS, have never been opposed to union discussion, even if they don't like the game.
