I love these message boards-- going to war with someone whose face you have never seen, a war of words in which nobody wins...
Too true, but usually good for a laugh. It think the main thinking behind it however, is to take threads that have ended up as a personal duel and place them in a spot where people can continue if they like and not clutter up legitimate discussion. Previously I think deletion and locking where the alternatives, which many dislike - I like this answer. More or Less - take it outside.CanadianSteve said:Thanks, Angry.
On the Fight Club idea, I go along with this quote I found on a boxing forum months ago:

They each have their great aspects and crap points. And franky I think people who put done one code or the other are just petulant children.

That's a fair point. I can see why some people would get tired of the "yawn-yawn is boring" type posts. But I think there are also lots of good topics that could be discussed in a code vs code forum.
And, whether you liked the old forum or not, there was no logical reason to lump it in with the Fight Club forum which is dedicated to arguments between members and has nothing to do with footy. It may as well have been combined with the boxing forum - at least both are about fighting.

BTW, I haven't checked the boxing forum in a while - any sign of Javaman?
I agree, can someone acknowledge the concerns raised and supply an answer please?CanadianSteve said:I think I have made a fair argument here that the RL-RU-AFL forum did not deserve to be lumped in with the new Fight Club forum. I think if you go to the FC page now all the code vs code threads have been buried by Fight Club threads. I think the RU vs RL topics will heat up when the 2 seasons start up. Any response from the powers that be on splitting the 2 unrelated sections up again?

This site is a League site, they (those that own it) only pay lip service to public (user) opinion. They are only interested in the promotion of league...they would perpetuate the myth of League as a genuine international sport and as such must stymie any discussion that questions that position. Over the period of time this and LWOL have existed the promotion of a False history of the real and imitation code of Rugby has dazzled and bemused those that have lived through the period. keep up your Crusade....U MIGHT TOUCH A NERVE...I doubt it...they do not like truth.
