A cyclist mate of mine put me onto this tip when I was having hammy problems due to a bad back/pelvis. I play a fair bit of soccer, and always pull up sore in thelegs regardless of how much prep or stretching I do.
He used to have the same problem cycling, and he swears by this remedy. Ater warming/down and showering, assage calves, quads and hammys with sorbolene. Cocentrate on deep tissue for about 10-15 minutes combined, applying strong pressure between muscles. Itms to help with circulation better than say massage oil does. It keeps the skin and muscles from drying and more supple.
Works a treat and these days I dont have thoat soreness in recovery the next day, i used to have from just massaging with oil.
You may read that it clogs pores, but Ive never had this problem. Also avoid if you suffer from skin irritations like Eczma. use the non perfumed cream, the non name brands are best.
