Anyone else go to the SYd concerts? I went to first night, they were very tight as a band and it was great to see John Paul Jones recieve the biggest applause and see him groovin on stage.

Dave Grohl put on a high energy peformance on the drums and big Josh was very good on the voc's and guitar.

The other dude they had standing in was good and played a nice quick little solo piece.

Although I find the album a bit boring, doesnt really do much for me, they were very good live even though they sting you $105 for a ticket.

Have no idea who the support act was, printed as special guest on the ticket cause they werent decided at the time I guess, they didnt seem to have any banners or adverts for themselves......I only got a song or two so not sure how good they were but the marketing department needs some work.

went on wednesday night...sch an entertaining band....loved johaines (spelling?) blues solo and josh in the back havin a smoke and boping along to it haha. JPJ i thought was really into it and looked like he was enjoying every minute of it....before i went i didnt know how josh and dave would look in the company of such a great musician in Jones but they all looked comfortable and fed off eachother.

Gunman, Reptiles and Dead End Friends were my fav songs of the night

Just came across this thread, I was a massive fan of the album so I had pretty high expectations for the concert, but even so, I was absolutely blown away by the show they put on (Brisbane one). I was lucky enough to be in the very front row against the barrier, smack bang in front of JPJ, which made the night even more special. Jeez they were good.

JPJ has confirmed they are recording a second album by this summer (our winter), absolutely can't wait for that. Highway 1 (a song that isn't on the record, but it's played in all of their gigs) is rumoured to be released in the 2nd album, and if that song is anything to judge by, it's going to be an even better album than the first!

Anyway here are some pics I got from Brissy gig

After the show I convinced a tech guy to grab a pic of the set list that was taped to the stage floor , has each of JPJ's guitars he used for each song
