This has been a cruel Finals series.

All the best to the Warriors, they deserve their spot and I hope they win, but the team we absolutely decimated in the Qualifying Round are in the Grand Final instead of us.

Such a hard pill to swallow.

Oh get over it man. I would have loved to have seen the Bronx win more that anyone... But the team that stays in the best form and keeps fit wins in finals... No need to mope around feeling sorry for ya self. Im looking forward to Manly Warriors. Might be a close game after seeing them play 2night

It does show a bit of injustice in the finals system. Both teams won 2 games and lost 1. They got a second chance and we didnt.

At the end of the day, thats the system all teams have to play too. Doesnt mean I have to like it. I made comments after the qualifying final that I believe if you come 6th and lose, you should be gone.

Gota say though, I'd much rather the Warriors v Manly GF, than Storm v Manly.

Thats how the cookie crumbles, I reckon we would have made the final with Lockyer. Boo hoo lets come back next year and go all the way. No point dwelling on the past.

Yeah, although I think the results of this year lends further support to the NRL adopting the AFL finals format.

No doubt it is a better system IMO. Has its flaws but rewards a top 4 finish which is a must IMO.

The thing that annoyed me the most about this years finals was;

The Warriors got 8 days off before fronting the Storm

The Broncs got 6 days off before fronting Manly

and yet the Broncos finished the season 3rd and the Warriors finished 6th

The system wouldn't need to be changed much to make it fair; Just add in a second preliminary final round where the opponents are swapped, and whoever has the most losses at the end is gone.

Locky might have actually played with the extra 2 days recovery time. This is leaving the question mark aside whether it would've been a sensible option...

It should've been 7 days for each team leading up to the prelims, which would also benefit the minor premiers (regardless of the fact the Warriors are there) with one day more rest than the 2nd placed leading up to the GF.

Get over it, you take the bad with the good.

We've moved on from Bennett and its time to move on without Lockyer.

Exactly.......simply meant swapping Friday and Saturday nights game around.

Common sense aint so common......etc etc

I am a bit bitter with channel 9 for screwing the Broncs in the ass in a Friday night ratings grab. I would prefer to see the semis both be on a Saturday or Sunday...

But at the end of the day, what do we really get out of winning a GF. A few bragging rights? some extra respect... It's not the most amazing thing in the world. I am very happy with the result of this year and just sad it's all over for 7 more months.

This is my grand final attendance history.

1999 - Melbourne beat Dragons
2001 - Knights beat Parra
2003 - Penrith beat Roosters
2008 - Manly beat Melbourne
2009 - Melbourne beat Parra
2010 - Dragons beat Roosters

Somehow managed to miss the Broncos premierships despite attending nearly every other year.

And yes, I'm going this year, I had to just in case!!! shiiiiit
