This is how bad the Union match was last night

I came up with

15 mins 02 seconds in first 40 minutes
17 mins 19 seconds in second 40.

48 mins of a game of 80 went missing with stoppages.

Lineouts, scrums, penalities, drop outs etc.

BORING.

I watched the replay on Fox this morning and there seemed to be no atmosphere, at least the parts I watched.

I don't mind Union but I thought it was boring so I didn't watch the whole game.

I watched a replay of a rugby 99 world cup france/fiji, its was so pathetic. At one stage they took 2 minutes to end a scrum.

I have been very curious for ages about how many stoppages there are.

So i thought why not try the opening game.

that's because most of the people there are bandwagon 'caught up in the hype' people. not real supporters.

I did a similar thing for the european cup final and it was a very similar figure. However I changed it a bit and compared it with a league game that night, a Wigan vs Leeds game. The ball was in play 37 mins in union and 49.49 in league. Not a lot of diff you'd think, you'd be wrong.

It was 37 minutes out of 90 including stopages but time took off for tries, but 49.49 out of 69 if you took off the time for conversions. or 35% to 70) pretty much double.
