Rugby league will always be my number 1 sport.
Once you understand the game it allows fans to feel all types of emotions in 80 minutes.
Fear (knowing that a loss is imminant when the other team is attacking your line with minutes remaining)
Hatred (towards referring and bulldogs fans)
Tension (both lines attacking eachother knowing that one crack in defence could result in conceding a try and maybe the game)
Happiness (when your team holds their line and dont concede a try. Also good attack to get out of the red zone)
and sheer joy (scoring tries of which there are only about 4 a game).
Relief (going through all the emotions above and coming away with a victory)
Depression (losing)
Not being a fan of AFL at all I can only gather a couple of emotions including lots of happiness with goals being scored all day. And fear when you know you cant score enough goals to win the game.
