There are so many conflicing stories going around re Tahu & Monaghan.
I was told about a week ago that the Roosters were going to swoop on Roberts, Donald & Monaghan. Tahu apparently signed a letter of intent with Manly weeks before June 30 (doesn't mean he signed a contract but basically made an agreemet to sign one at a future date).
I don't believe Monaghan will go to Manly as I don't see what he has to gain by doing so. Manly are a big gamble. They've signed 2 quality players in Kennedy & Kite but is that suddenly going to transform them from wooden spooners to premiership contenders? I think not. Whilst Canberra on the other hand are currently in the top 8 and playing good footy. Monaghan has already been selected for City-Country playing for Canberra so what does he have to gain by going to Manly? I think not alot to be honest. For mine, Monaghan will either stay in Canberra (loyalty & family factor) or go to the Roosters for a serious shot at a title & a Blues jersey.
As for Tahu, who knows what's going on and what money is really being offered. Watch this space I guess.
