This week, Souths and Woy Woy

Is anyone else p*ssed off at the timing of this weeks games? I mean what's the point of having the JBC Cup game at the same time as the PL game, when the grounds are so close together?

I was looking forward to going to Gosford for the game against Souths via Woy Woy oval, thinking that the JBC game would start at 15:00, thus giving the Jets Army heaps of time to get up to Gossie for the main game. But alas... the bright sparks at the NSWRL or was Woy Woy decided to have the games on at the same time.

On the field... I think the Jets may have turned the corner this season with a commanding 80mins last week against the gallant Bears. In saying that, the Bunnies did have a good win against the Cougers of both St Mary's and Penrith. It's a tough game to call. But the heart says the Jets by 16.

Which members of the Jets Army will be going to Gossie? Lets get together and make a bit of noise to cheer the boys onto another win.

See you there..... "Jet Army! Jet Army! Jet Army! Jet Army! Jet Army!"

Woy Woy can only get the game on at 5:30pm due to rugby union, they would have liked to have played at Gosford but were never asked andno local teams are ever asked. This is why the Northern Eagle struggled as they ignored local teams. It is a shame though.

I will be at Woy Woy this week.

That's a good point Bluebag about the local clubs not being involved in the game at Gosford.
I think that a day of Rugby League would have been a good way to go with all the JBC cup teams playing in Gosford as well as the Flegg/PL and NRL games.

Once again it's Souths going in without thinking about the bigger picture.

Will I be the only Jets fan at Gosford? I'll take my big Jets flag so you'll be able to see me. Come and say G'day and cheer the boys on!

We can beat Woy Woy. They're winless. souths will be tough. I don't think they'll have much of a home ground advantage. Come on Jets. Just do it in the 2nd half.

Shattered ! Can`t believe we lost against Souths. We played so well ,and the last 5 minutes couldn`t hold them. [ Just like the last time we played them.] :( :(

It was a very dissapointing display against souths. Maybe the NSWRL could start playing Newtown games over 70 minutes, then we'd start to actually win games. ;-)
I don't think that the Jets choked, I think that we just switch off with 10 to go and run out of puff.
I gave Artie a big spray back at the Leagues club and he agreed that they have been VERY lucky in both games this year!
It'll be a struggle to beat the Raiders next week as they had a loss to Wests today.

While you were there HPH, you should've asked Artie if he's been interviewed for Langmack's job.

Fanny, to put in in your terms, wen u follow newtown u haf 2 expect these hart wrenchin results. It still feels terrible everytimebut it never surprises me. I do think this is a problem. 2 wins over souths and a win over Parra = 5 extra points we could have had.

The Woy Woy loss was also disappointing. Considering how well we did last week to beat Ryde it is a shame that the boys didn't run away with the match this week. It makes you think the Jets were a bit complacent. Still, a Woy Woy win is something to talk about in JBC. It's been very predictable this year.
