What's with all this "a fair go" crap ?

The article clearly states it was Thorman who opted for a return to ESL - not Parra giving him his marching orders !!

He was given a fair go anyway!

HE played 1/4 of the season in 1st grade and for that we did not get one win, and most games were against sides that are not in the top 8 or very fringe top 8.

How much more of a "fair go" could we really give him!!!

And how many of them were at 5/8?

I agree withS uity on this one. It's not the FIRST decision that has me thinking that our coach/CEO are a few frocks short of a HJ wardrobe!

If Dykes AND Thorman go, we are yet again abysmally light on in the halves. When Mick Witt has the keys to the side, and no one within cooee of pressuring him, no amount of Tahu's or Ridells is going to change that.

Looks like BS' crusade to make the halfback position obsolete remains.

Then again, it makes the latest Noddy rumour look a tad more realistic, doesn't it!

You start to think that....and then you look at the source of the noddy rumour and think......maybe not #-o

Well, there goes the theory that Smith is selecting him again to assess him!!
Guess Parra decided on his future well before that end of July deadline...

It's a shame for this young guy to have taken a shot and come to a club with a schizophrenic idea of halves combinations, but all the best to him for his future.

Though now, surely there can't be any reason to leave Michael Witt out of our first grade 17...?

There is nothing on the Rhinos or the Eels websites. The Guardian article seems pretty definite so I assume it is happening but I haven't been able to confirm elsewhere yet. Anybody else seen this rumour anywhere apart from the Guardian?

I wonder if this means we are keeping Dykes?

The Kimmorley & McLinden rumours are a joke IMO [-(

Maybe we are chasing someone else from the UK? It's baffling though. Vaealiki & Thorman gone in the space of 24 hrs. Something's brewing for sure... :-k

Agree with you there but reckon even Mundine would be more likely than Kimmorley.

Something had better be more than brewing. You cannot simply release players with the hope of signing others. Get an assurance that they'll sign first then find room for them under the cap.

Which puts an end to my thoughts that the club had finally got its act together in realizing their mistakes of the past.

We need extra turnstiles at Parra Stadium

The usual lot for the fans and an extra one for the players

It does make one think how many players want to play under Brian.
