Chris had his first interview this morning on 2KY with Terry Kennedy and Greg Hayes.
He sounds very keen and have a go.
He indicated he is about 5 KG's under playing weight of 86/87 Kgs at the moment and that he is suprised with the heat that we are currently going through. (He came across as if he needs to work on his fitness)
He is out here at the moment with his Girlfriend (Sorry Girls and some boys - Halfy!!) for a couple of weeks and Smith has indicated to him that it is unlikely that he will be playing in the up and coming 7's tournament.
One interesting part of the interview that I was not aware of was that the contract is for 1 year with an additional 1 year option.
He followed Canberra growing up and inspired to be like Mal, Laurie, Stuart (Scum) but also took a keen following in the Eels progress since he has been coached by Smith at the Broncs.
He did not really specify what position he was targetted for but is keen to play where he gets put!!!
He came across very professionally and I am sure he will be a great assett for the Eels over the next 2 years.
Good Luck Chris.
