Good too see him run out there tonight but what happened to him did he get injured cos he only played for the first 20 mins what was the point even playing him or bringing him over from england if they are only going to play him for 20 mins... he looked like the only guy who could do anything in the first half....

Well wehn you look at it on paper, our worst period ofthe game was the first 20 minutes - which coincidently happens to be the time when Thorman was on the field :shock:

Nah, just kidding, Thorman was the only person trying in that first 20 mins - seriously, he made EVERYONE else look like crap.....my wife (not the biggest footy fan - but she'll call it as she sees it) said to me, "Who is #18, he's the only one doing anything".

His kicking game was crap, pehaps a few nerves, but he is a much better player than that.

I've seen his games in England and the England A againts the Roos.

Smith's use of Thorman was borderlining on idiocy. The man has clearly lost the plot. Thorman could be over in Super League playing on around AU$500K. He must be wondering what the hell he is doing over here with this mad scientist running the show.

I still believe whatever position he was in - acting half (which by the way is what he is supposed to be right - half back - Dykes and Morris haven't had many problems there as they showed later) he was out of his depth. Again he has talent however he was well out of his depth. He needs time to develop in first division but those who called for his promotion got their wish. Starting him at hooker was not good however starting him anywhere but first division after that is a joke......

Smith has to take some blame for his position however half, 5/8 or hooker aren't that different the way the way the team is structured..... If he was good enough he would of adapted and right now he isn't good enough.

Thorman was playing for 30minutes and had a very strong game I thought, brilliant vision on the second tackle to grubber into the ingoal and try and spark something considering it was his first game ever in an NRL competition game. I don't think he should of replaced Morris on the starting side though, but maybe that's only because I want Wagon out of five eigth. He made 13 tackles and 1 hit up for 4m during his time on the feild according to NRL stats.

Thorman played really well for the time he was out there, i was impressed the way he injected himself into the game even though he was out of position, i will look forward to seeing him play over the next few weeks after the bye, hopefully he can cement his place in the team. i think i would like to see him off the bench until he is really settled.
