A greeting, This Thugas Thoughts is basically a small preview of the matches at the Rumble itself.
Edge vs HBK
These two superstars are also in the Royal Rumble match itself, so a couple things could happen here in my opinion.
Number 1 - These two have a high quality match for 15 minutes or so and HBK wins with a clean pinfall to basically end the feud.
Number 2 - - Edge gets DQ'd with in a few minutes and puts HBK out of the Royal rumble match, and the two continue the feud until Wrestlemania or Late February. A possible HBK return in the Rumble match itself might happen, and eliminate Edge to add more spice to the feud.
I think one of them might happen, and the way it will turn out is who the Script writers decide HBK verses at Mania. If it is Edge, Number 2 will go along, and the Mania match will have some sort of stipulation to it.
Or he could fight Kurt Angle and number 1 will go ahead.
Look for a little backstage segment between Angle and HBK, tension could build up there.
The match itself between HBK and Edge should be very good, both pure wrestlers and if has potential to be a good match.
My pick - For this one, I think HBK will win it with the Sweet Chin Music, Edge will go psycho etc.
Undertaker vs Heidenreich
A Casket match huh?
Well this match will be 15 minute brake for me, not really interested here. The only thing I will watch it the ending, where something interesting is bound to happen. If the WWE is pushing for a Undertaker and Kane vs Snitsky and Heindenreich match, im expecting that Snitsky will interfere and Taker will lose the match. Then Heidenreich and Snitsky will like lock the casket and throw it off the stage or something, im hoping for something of that type to happen. I also mentioned in a earlier post that Snitsky attacks Undertaker by popping out of the casket, and then Kane comes out and tries to help his brother but is out numbered. Then kane and Undertaker are thrown in the casket together and Snitsky locks it up, and they burn the casket or something. Then Kane and Undertaker would come back a few weeks later, and Kane might have his mask back on....and they can have the story line that his face was severely burnt in the fire. But if they arent pushing for the tag match then Undertaker will win the match, and move on to a different feud.
My Prediction - Heidenreich to win it with help from Gene Snitsky.
Kurt Angle vs John Bradshaw Layfield vs Big Show - WWE Title match
Well, this match can only go in one direction ... and thats in JBL's direction. If Angle is going to feud with HBK leading up to Mania, then JBL will definitly win this match. To be honest, I cant see Big Show winning it, but I can see Big Show getting a re-match at No Way Out. The match will start With JBL and Angle teaming up, then JBL and Angle will eventually go at it and JBL will grab the win from there. For me there is only one reason for watching this match and that is for Kurt Angle being in the match.
Prediction - JBL to win and Big Show to get a re-match at No Way Out
Triple H vs Randy Orton - World Title Match
Call me crazy, but I can actually see Orton winning this match.
Heres what I was thinking:
The match to go on for 20minutes or so, the ref will eventually get knocked out. Flair will try to interfere, only to get a RKO handed to him. Orton RKO's HHH, goes for the pin but there's no ref. Here comes the monster Batista, he grabs a chair....goes to nail Orton but hits the game accidently...Orton knocks out Batista..covers the game and gets the pinfall.
HHH is furious and Batista tries to apologies. To find out what will happen after that read the Rumble predictions. That could either happen, or HHH could just win the match by cheating and retain the belt in a soft way. But the match could be good itself, and its a match i will be looking into.
Prediction - I still think HHH will grab the victory, just not positive on it yet.
Royal Rumble Match
This match will be between 2 wrestlers in my mind..Batista and John Cena. Is it just me or has this been a very poor build up to the Royal Rumble match? Anyway, Batista or Cena will win it. And heres a option on how it could finish, this continues from the HHH vs Orton match.
* Its down to 3 men - Cena, Batista and a heel. Batista looks to be dominating both men, then out comes the Game, who has a smile on his face. HHH distracts Batista and John Cena eliminates him, Batista gets up and HHH runs away with a smile on his face. John Cena eventually eliminates the other heel left in the ring and wins the Royal Rumble to go on to face JBL at Mania. This will also leave Orton vs HHH vs Batista in a triple threat match at Mania.
But it does look like Batista will eventually win the Rumble, and face HHH (and Orton).

SD!: Daniel Puder, Orlando Jordan, Mark Jindrak, Booker T, Charlie Haas, Luther Reigns, Scotty 2 Hotty, Rey Mysterio, John Cena.
Note: Batista is still not entered in the Rumble. Wouldn't that be a surprise if he wasn't even in it :?
Prediction - John Cena to win the Rumble and face JBL at Mania.

* Apparently Austin and McMahon have a movie deal going on. Austins gone Hollywood, and McMahon is his manager sort of. Good news, because that increases his chances of making more appearances in the future.
