According to Weidler it was a record set during the week for ticket sales.
2 days after Anderson was sacked of course.

Is this factual anybody?

Doubtful.

Existing season ticket holders have until the 10th to renew and they are not on sale to the general public until December 17th.

Peter Peters (who was/is backing Anderson) said the Sharks sold 15,000 tickets since Anderson was sacked. He then came back on air a minute or so later and said it was 1500 which is an extraordinary amount for this time of year. His words not mine. I hope he's right.

Hmm....not looking good in what way?

That they have in fact sold the most tickets ever for this time of year?
That Weidler(who I quoted) is on the money? Again?
or that it is not looking good that things are looking 10,000% better at the club since the low life was sacked?

Or not looking good that they have in fact sold the most tickets ever? even though we have 4 or 5 sources now.

Well, season seat renewals have only been available for a short while, so we shouldn't read too much into it.

What it DOES say to me is that many, many people were waiting until the Coaching issue had been resolved, BEFORE committing to their seats for 2004.

Whether they would have NOT renewed had Anderson remained will never be known, but it could be a strong endorsement for Stu Raper.

For mine, I would definitely NOT renewed my reserved seating in the PB Lower had Anderson remained - Instead I would have only taken outer grounds, knowing that the availability of unreserved grass would have been pretty good.

Obviously I'm talking about the chances of the story being factual. Just like Danny, you wouldn't know a fact if it fell out of the sky, landed on your face and started to wriggle.

Obviously I hope the story is true, but for the positive reason that it would be good for the club. The way this board is going, we need all the cash we can get.

They can't possibly have sold more than before.

Simple logic tells you that.

Only season seat holders can purchase at the moment. So they can't have sold more than the number of season seat holders there were last year. Hence they can't have sold a record number yet.

But Barry's mate at the Herald wouldn't let the truth spoil a slant on a story.

Being a season ticket holder and, if memory serves me rightly, the reason for this has nothing to do with Anderson's axing. This year there seems to me to be a tighter deadline for renewals by existing season tickets holders and a quicker turnaround for the sale of unrenewed tickets to the public. Read what you like into it, but I'm pretty sure this is the reason.

Oh, and just a quick question, Blacktip. When Anderson dies, are you going to pyss on his grave?
