This Saturday at 3pm the Newtown Jets play host to the inform Balmain Tigers in VB Premier League at Henson Park. There are a few ex Jets now playing for the Tiges in Luke Hession and Mark Fakahua and will be out to prove a point and the Tiges have had an exceptional start the the season.

This should be a terrific clash as the Newtown Forwards have been in dominating form in the past few weeks and hope to continue this weekend as we play the Tigers. Hoping to see you down at Henson on Saturday and enjoy the memories of traditional rugby league.

playing Newtown at Henson is always one of the highlights of the season for me so it'll take a lot to keep me away

So we got Mark from the jets did we? We were only saying yesterday what a good pick-up he's been - not a flashy player but he plays hard and does the little things right.

You forgot Frank Samia with the ex jets too

As good as the Tigers have been our forwards will hurt when they hit for 80 minutes. I am looking forward to this game as far as old traditions of hard workers and also it is a test for us playing against one of this years form teams.

You can park inside the ground for $3. Enter via the Centennial St entrance. Centennial St is off Sydneham Road just opposte Marrickvile High School.

there r no games in sydney that day so heaps of ppl should go it is a unique time

Henson is also one of the few grounds where players and fans can mix freely as there are no seperate places for them. Plenty of grass to camp on and the famous BBQ.

i got an email from the jets and it sez the jets and tigers r gonna play 4 the ryan-pringle trophy from now on like the jets-bears is frank hyde cup.
