Balmain sent out a letter to its members today suggesting that they thank those people who supported the development proposal by voting for them in the upcoming local elections. Retirements and what not sees only two people get support: one sitting Labor councillor and one new Labor candidate (a person who got up and spoke at the community meeting rather well)

It is an interesting move, and it almost had me voting labor for a moment (but common sence prevailed). Then again, anyone would be better than the greens.

I just hope that this is the last time the club has to send out such letters.

Exactly.....who cares about policy, let's just vote based on who supported the leagues club redevelopment, which was politically motivated anyway.

Dickhead.
