I have followed the Tigers since 1988. Since 1989, there have been only two years where I have believed that we have enough ammunition to win the premiership.
First time was one Sunday afternoon at Shark Park in 2005. After that game, I was confident that we had what it takes to win the comp.
Second time is today against the Eels. That was not our best game today, yet we have so many ways to break a defensive line. Most of the team is in very good form at the moment and we have the best gamebreaker in the world in career-best form. Like 2005, Benji is doing it week-in and week-out.
Our forwards are as mobile, skilled and tough as in 2005. We have the best back-row going round at the moment. Fulton is in awesome touch, Ellis (did not play today) is class and Heighno is Mr Consistient.
Come to think of it, bar Farah, Utai and Ellis (who are all going well), I cannot think of one key tiger who is not in career-best form at the moment.
