f**k, Maxwell that horse-faced merkin.

But in all honesty:

1. Wesser playing;
2. No Inglis;
3. No Burgess;
4. No Asotasi;
5. Their bench;
6. Benji playing;
7. Robbie playing;
8. A big (by our standards) bench:

we should win, and win comfortably.

Can only guess it's cover for McKinnon, for there surely can be no other explanation

It's the same explanation for why we've been carrying an outside back on the bench for the past 2 seasons....So they can get 3-4 mins at the end of each game. Makes perfect sense to me, pure genius.

Isnt it great to see that Ryan has taken over from Fitzy as Shines Bench Bitch....

According to the Great Shines after the Canberra game, Ryan is there as cover for Mackinnon...

So instead of having Fulton fill in at centre and Molzen back to FB in the event of an injury to mackinnon, we carry a winger on the bench who might get a run in the 77th minute...

Typical Shines thinking at work here people...

Can't help remembering our last match-up (what was it, a week or two ago?) when we went in against them completely under-strength and pulled their pants down... They'll be after some payback. It will be an interesting game...

SHOULD WIN ...
generaly means we will loose
28 nil in the 2nd half, just can't see that happening with the way Utai, Moltzen, Marshall, Dwyer and Heighno are playing. Fulton and Farah are tackling low but none of the bigger boys are helping to wrap them up.

That performance in the first half was not up to first grade standard. There was no attitude in that match. The Tigers don't seem to show up for a match they are expected to win. South Sydney weren't that good, we were just hat bad.

No control, no direction and no commitment. I made a comment on my podcast that Tim Moltzen was a hod of the ball and tonight proved it more. He would run and NEVER pass it. Something needs to happen. I hope Tim Sheens has a rocket for them all. Next game will be interesting, I will be heading down the road to Campbelltown Stadium. It will be an interesting clash V Panthers at home.

What is next and what needs to happen with the Tigers now?

Moltzen bashing is getting beyond a joke. If him not passing the ball in awful situations near the sideline is the first thing you're going to bag, it's really not worth saying anything at all. You could count on your hand the number of times he got the ball with even the slightest bit of room to move.

The whole team was bad up the middle and our pack got rolled by an understrength pack. Our 6, 7 and 9 were all out classed badly by their counterparts and it was just a poor gameplan and poor performances from our key players. Nothing else you can say.

Ayshford and Moltzen weren't too bad tonight, Brown, McKinnon, Galloway, Fulton and Fifita were all good too.

But only good.

Our defensive pressure was missing again, as it was against the roosters. Benji missed too many tackles, most of them on Wesser.

We missed Gibbs suring up our defence in the middle. That job fell squarely on Fulton, who was defending at prop and Farah, who looked run ragged after 70 mins.

very sub par, disappointing efoort, which surprisingly went close to a win.

Still can't get over fifita's bump, step, charge, grubber, chase and tackle on Wesser in goal.

He should never have had to do that.

In Benji's defence, our backs were constantly standing too shallow, and standing. there were no bodies in motion so he just kept going sideways.

Kicking was pathetic.

We desperately need Gibbs and Ellis back in the team, more than anyone else.

The most disappointing thing about that loss is how close they really were once they applied themselves.

There are no excuses or valid reasons for that first half performance.

They are Pro Athletes, attitude and desire to win should come from a place deep within, it cant be taught.

Off field Dramas, a virus going through the squad, injuries..... Please explain the second half than. No valid reason could have been fixed in the 15 odd minutes between halves except pathetic attitude.

I threw up a little in my mouth when I heard we resigned Sheens, but this one is on the players.

Your teams problem was that they looked at my teams (Souths) lineup, saw that we were missing most of our quality players and thought this was going to be easy. That they only had to run on to the field and the game was theirs. They forgot they had to play football and good football at that to win the game.

Souths played good football in the 1st half and no one can deny that. But gee your team was very ordinary and that helped us. Sheens gave your team a real blast at halftime and it showed in the 2nd half. You guys won the 2nd half 18-2. But that means nothing.

If your team had played even slightly better in the 1st half then who knows you just may have won the game.

Poor attitude in the first half again, very similar to the broncos game a few weeks ago, they looked dis-interested and wanted to be elsewhere besides playing footy, the players to a man need to take a long hard look at their attitude , cant blame sheens for this one im afraid, players must start taking some responsibility if they wish to make the top 8 at all this year. souths had just as many players out as we have at the moment so no excuses there either.
