Tim Smith had a very good game.

I thought he played very well today set up a few trys and kicked ok. I reckon we put Smith halfback and Witt at 5/8 for the rest of the year and see how they go. Thorman is rubbish and so is Wagon.

Everybody would love to see that happen Jake, except the one that matters

We dead set have nothing to lose.....give Timmy a crack!!!

While Thorman has the occassional good effort in attack, his defense is woeful and his kicking is almost a non-factor.

Witty - well to be honest I don't see any signs of him being a good half for us....his kicking is OK, but he isn't capable of taking on any decent defensive line.

But in defense of our halves, I've gotta say our outside backs don't do alot to make their jobs any easier....we need a few players in motion to at least cause the opposition some concern.

Anyway - I say give Tim Smith a go....if for nothing else than to give him a taste of NRL.

no! do not play him in first grade! lets just leave him in reserves until he gets sick of it and goes to the bulldogs and plays state of origin.

Smith played well, but Witt played better. I honestly don't understand what all the hype is about. IMO, I think Witt is defenitely a better option. Let him develop as a half and then use him as back-up to Witty next season.

I just thought because Tim had a hand every try so that meant Tim played better, I didn't see Witt set up any trys at All.

I would prefer Witt. Smith has a lot of aspects to work on before he comes a real force. He will have his time. He shiuld have been signed to a long term deal. Witt played well and if he has a good 5/8 he can really create a lot.

They did i thought becuase they continually swapped from 1st and 2nd reciever but whats the odds of them both being selected. I cannot wait until the day i pick up a newspaper and Smith is at 7. Witt at 6 impressed me against the knights. Shame he got suspended when we finally thought we had a sucessful combination. I still think next year when Witt and Morris combine we will be a force.
