lets get the game back to its former glory. what we need to do:

• teams only wear away jerseys if the home jerseys clash
• Warriors change their jerseys back to their original blue design with a splash of white, green and red
• City Ford will start sponsoring Easts again
• Easts shall be known as Easts, rather than the Sydney Roosters
• Licorice allsorts jersey for the panthers
• jerseys to be made from cotton
• socks must be pulled up (wear garters or use tape - just keep them up)
• wear black boots. no more coloured boots (Dragons fullback has dispensation and can wear white boots if he wishes)
• 8=lock, 9, 10= second rowers, 11, 13= props, 12= hooker
• centres to be known as centre-three-quarters, wings to be called wing-three-quarters
• Rex the Moose to call the games again
• Simply the Best to be the theme song for rugby league

If these steps are taken, the product of rugby league will drastically improve.

1. Jerseys have real collars, not these stupid asymetrical nike-inspired neck swooshes, and they should probably also have players names on the back of them.

2. Return of the "clothesline" and "coathanger" tackles and subsequent commentator calls. Hopefully this would also lead to the reinstatement of the "He's in Disneyland!!" call which I miss horribly. I feel Billy Slater and Gringles have really lost out here.

I really want the jersey to go back to basic designs. Im so sick of all these shit jerseys that we play in these days. I understand some marketing douche is telling the clubs to change them every year to increase sales by 0.4%... but give me a brand new jersey with just stripes or the V any day of the week.

Surely when we look back at highlights of games for the last ten years... there will be hardly any times when we say..."oh that was an awesome jersey." Especially being a tigers fan...
