The National Rugby League's crackdown on spear tackles has resulted in eight players being charged with dangerous throws by the judiciary.
In total, 13 players were charged by commissioner Jim Hall, including St George Illawarra and Australian five-eighth Shaun Timmins (grade two careless high tackle) and Sydney Roosters enforcer Adrian Morley (same offence).
But the vast majority were for dangerous throws, including six players with grade one offences.
Cronulla pair Daniel Dumas and Sam Isemonger were the heaviest hit, charged with grade three offences.
Dumas could face a four-week suspension and Isemonger a five-week suspension.

Teammate Dale Newton could also be outed for three weeks after being charged with a grade three careless high tackle for his hit on Brisbane's Brad Meyers in the 65th minute of Saturday night's game at Toyota Park.
Morley could face a three-week suspension for his tackle on Canberra's Mark McLinden on Friday night while Timmins could be outed for one week.
The NRL board only 11 days ago released a statement in which it backed a call from chief executive David Gallop for the judiciary to provide greater deterrents to the lifting of players in tackles.
