Yeah i can imagine Moltzen coming on to try score and make up the points that useless f**king Lui the walk has let in.
f**k HIM OFF :x while we have replacements in Moltz & Jacob Miller ffs, Lui has played nearly a full season and hasnt shown a single f**king thing that couldnt be done by Moltzen or Miller.. the stupid prick hasnt even been cleared yet so he shouldnt even be at the club until that happens

Careful - apparently he is a protected species amongst some around here...

Couldnt agree with you more.

Hasn't been proven guilty yet either.
Yes that is true R2 but the point is... He was stood down from the club immediately the changes were laid, presumably until the matter was cleared up in the courts and or to appear to the public as tho WT were in no way condoning violence against women. Then because of a technical alteration in Lui's bail conditions and AVO ( NOT A DROP OF CHARGES ) the club suddenly makes a backflip and lets him return even tho he still has the same serious charges hanging over his head as he did the day he was stood down .
So my comment about him still being part of the club at this stage until cleared still stands.

macnaz you have no idea why the club stood him down, and even less as to why he has been allowed back, charges pending. Trying to second guess this process just makes you look like a bigger douche with each passing comment.

I think it's time you put it away for awhile, mate. As the real Jeff Lebowski said - the bums lost. The bums will always lose.

The club pulls these kids out of the bush in their mid teens, relocates them a million miles from their families. From time to time ones going to go off the rails and thats why we owe them a second chance. Iam against domestic violence, but a 20 year old first offender has to be given a second chance and thankfully thats the approach the club has taken.

As for a footballer, Lui could be anything and in 2011 we will find out what direction he is headed. He could end up being a super star or he could end up being a Owen Cragie or a Paul Davis. I just get the feeling being surrounded by quality footballers and strong role models he may kick on.

Well how about you enlighten me NC as to why he was stood down.
That's just it, mate... I wouldn't presume to know anything about it, and I'm not one to jump to conclusions about the club's motives. All I've seen are a couple of headlines and some low-rent journalists' write up of a rap sheet and a court hearing. Nothing from the club, nothing from Lui, & nothing from Backo that would lead me to conclude anything more than that he's f**ked up big time and they're all now trying to sort their sh*t out.

While we're on the topic and the rubbish about him being "outstanding" in the Dragons semi continues, can somebody explain why?

He was our halfback and set up a grand total of "0" trys. He scored one, but moved about a metre untouched to do so... the irony being that in the process, one of our forwards racked up and assist to his name that Lui couldn't manage.

His kicking game was non-existant compared to the other two play makers and even they threw in a few shockers.

He also had Soward come out of the defensive line with a slight of hand to set up the first try.

If you watch the game his pass put Tuqiri away down his wing just before he copped knees in the back.

Young Lui has the vision many half backs don't have including one with a big rep. He is usually to be found when play is about to break down to link with support players.

This is a defining year for him.

lui is ok and he will get better. remember he is still young and hasnt had that many first grade games. i still prefer moltzen at halfback though. we have some good options now which is good. i am also looking forward to seeing how young miller goes in the halves in the lower grades.

The word on the other forum is he did an ankle and is out for up to six weeks with grade three ligament damage. On top of that Lui was running at no7 at training and Moltzen was not sighted.

Than their others who say its a load of sh.t and they saw him today fit and well.

So who knows????? but usually where their is smoke their is fire

I assume Sheens is going to continue with the practice of using a bench of 3 forwards and 1 back again this season. It seems from all reports Lui will have first crack at half so at best I see Moltzen being used off the bench and I don't see this as a bad thing. It will keep Lui honest and Moltzen is more than capable in most positions in the back line. If McKinnon goes down again Sheens may get Moltzen at fullback after all.

Moltzen anywhere else other than half back will see him leaving the Tigers.

Sheens has deadset lost it if he plays lui in front of Moltzen, not that he ever had it in the first place with some of his selections.

We've got Mitch Brown who's played awesome at fullback and Lui is a rubbish half. Moltzen has got everything on him.

It is refreshing to read there are supporters with objective opinions on the issue.

The battle for the half position will be intriguing. Placing expectations on Moltzen after his injury is not realistic. Lui is the incumbent and will need to perform.

Add to the equation Jacob Miller and the selectors have a nice problem.

He's done it before so why would you been surprised, Lui has the inside running of the two re: 7 in Sheens mind
