Sydney Race 1 No. 5 Sugarbomb. Loves it fresh and from all reports it's trial was superb. Beadman on board and it'll have my money
Sydney Race 2 No. 4 Fast N Famous. I'm keeping a big eye out on this horse. Has only had 4 starts in over 18 months but the form is sensational. Has toyed with rivals the last 2 starts and although up in class should go real well. One to follow.
Sydney Race 6 No. 1 Paratroopers. Class horse in a really tough race. Loves the track and should have developed into a nice 4yo. Trialled great and Beadman given the ride over the other Hawkes horses. I'm waiting for longer with Regal Cheer and Mnemosyne. But I guarantee that I'll be on them in the 1400-1600m races later in the spring. And the lightweight, Excites, does the exact opposite for me. Don't think he's THAT good
Sydney Race 7 No. 1 Mentality. Has exceptional form on the board. Got creamed in the Sires which Excites won but forget that race. The runs before and after that were brilliant. I love backing horses who win/place in the Sires and Champagne in the spring. This is my Golden Rose tip for a couple of weeks. The weight is big but Hawkes must be confident.
Melbourne Race 4 No. 1 De Lago Mist. I don't know where they want to go with this horse but I'll be on it. Great runs last autumn and looks like she'll be even better as a 3yo. Thousand Guineas? Oaks?
Melbourne Race 6 No. 8 Minson. 6 from 6 and keeps stepping up. Oliver on board is a good bonus. This horse could be anything this Spring. Cox Plate could be his.
