I doubt they are over the cap. They are probably at the cap but not over it. I look through their squad and while I see some quality, there are far more average first graders than current rep players.

Before people get on this salary cap high horse, just remember since they have been in the comp they have had to pay overs for players. Now they are established and have the proper facilities and can have a true run at the title many players won't be asking as much.

Apparently Searle does a very good job of including 3rd parties into contracts too.

yeh but there's a limit with 3rd party deals. Besides I'd be shocked if Prince was taking up much of the 3rd party allowance

Blokes who haven't been signed.

WALKER Shannon (2012 Option)

TOMANE Joseph
TONGA Esikeli
TOOPI Clinton
VICKERY Joe (Unsure about contract)

CAMPBELL Preston (Will retire most likely)
CAPEWELL Luke

RANKIN Jordan (Will probably be resigned)
WILLIAMS Richie

BROWN Riley
LAWTON Kayne

PAGE Luke (Unsure about contract)
LAWRENCE Brenton
MATTHEWS Will
Apart from Campbell the rest of those guys would be on a coke and meat pie contract

Wouldn't shock me if we released White/Henderson from their contracts if they wanted to move on.

I don't think there would be many clubs dumb enough to pay their salary when your mob are desperate to shed a few and are obligated to pay them at another club

So they should be. How they allowed themselves to get to the point they are now is so quickly is amatuerish stuff.

I agree with this. There will be a swag of ordinary players coming on to the market via the Titans.

Who's their hooker for next year? And they still don't have a 5/8.

Aiden Sezar is the 5/8

From his performances this year I am glad that he is going. Terrible

TOMANE Joseph

What happened to this guy, looked like a star in the making at the Storm, signed a contract with the QLD Reds backed out of it and went North. The Storm whinged about it bigtime, like he was the next Inglis stolen from the grasp.

Ironic considering the salary cap news to come obviously, but did he just not pan out or what?

Walker plays with Tweed Heads, not sure about Tomane though, played alot for them the first year he was there and has disappeared off the radar completely.

No. There is no limit.

Third Party Agreements
Third party agreements are payments made by companies directly to players. There is no restriction on the amount a player can earn through third party agreements where he is being paid for his own intellectual property, without the need to employ club logos or names and where the company involved is neither a club sponsor nor are they acting on behalf of a club to secure the player’s services. An example of this is a player promoting a brand of clothing or somebody like Mark Taylor promoting air conditioners.

You're getting confused with this:

In 2006, the NRL also introduced an allowance for players who enter into Third Party Agreements with club sponsors. In 2010, the top 10 players are allowed to earn up to a maximum extra $50,000 each from sponsorship leveraging but the total payments under these sponsorship leveraging agreements must not exceed $150,000 per club.

Tomane played last night against Manly

And he cost you the game (in terms of the worth of mistakes turned into points) with the worst performance I have seen from a centre in a long time.

Your team as a whole lost it for you guys though.

Coaching has a lot to do with it, it's all good to put a young player into QCup and tell them to work on defense but without correct coaching, they do not improve.

Our next big signing should be to get some specialist coaches, high ball, and 5/8 Filter maybe

He had a bad shoulder injury, nerve damage in there, kept him out for a long time. Is his confidence shot?

He had heaps of class when I saw him at Storm, you could just see it, you'll think someone will pick him up and see how he pans out.

Titans are doing the right thing and getting rid of their older dead wood... too many older players on their books this year is part of the reason why they're struggling.

Exactly but don't let facts like these get out to the press and the people on here pumped up to see another salary scandal. Heres hoping!!!
