The Parramatta Eels have named their squad to face the Sydney Roosters in their Pre-Season Trial Week 3 clash at Polytec Stadium this Saturday, 6pm kick-off.

I know these things change all the time but I suppose out of that you could assume that A) The Week One side more or less (Russell over Kelly for instance) and;
B) Talataina is currently still rated higher than Lincoln Fletcher.

Anyway, really looking forward to this one. Hopefully another good showing in defence and zero injuries.

He's just come back from a niggle, I would think that Ryles wants to get some decent game time into him for fitness. It was probably always going to be either him or Doorey for that bench spot, Luca might have to fight to get back in.

“Based on form” of trial 1, it’s what’s been rewarded I think. Russell was so good he’s creating a great reason to pick him. Simonsen brought the ball back really hard so he looked good.

I like that Kelly doesn’t walk in.

KK kept spot, William straight in on the edge, interesting.

I still have a fear we cop a lesson round 1, but I do think if we play to our potential we have a decent side.

Alternatively we want Fletcher to play 70 minutes and qualify for the SG Ball finals. Lorenzo is too old and we don't mind giving him 20-30 minutes in a trial rather than playing him in a Flegg trial

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't we flog the Panthers a few years ago in a pre-season trial but they then went on to win the Premiership?
