OOC: Check the Diary discussion thread for the premise behind this diary, also explains why some things dont make sense. Basically, TNA is still on Spike, your champs are Lashley (WHC) Aries (X) The Wolves (tag) Gail Kim (knockouts). Im just gonna have fun on the game, sign who I want, push who I want, and write a diary about it. Nothing more nothing less.

TNA Impact on Spike - January 1st 2015

In the first edition of the new year, taped in the Manhatten Centre in New York City, MVP and World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley were on hand to deliver their New Years resolution. They promised more of the same, as they look to lead the company into the future. Basically MVP and Lashley = money and ratings. They were cut short by Jeff Hardy and TNA X Division champion Austin Aries, their opponents for the evening, who informed MVP and Lashley that due to the trouble TNA has had with Spike recently, and the mass exodus of talent, Dixie Carter had decided to bring someone in to solve the issue. Hardy suggested both check their twitter feeds, as Dixie just posted a tweet, and we find out who that is, later on tonight.

The first match of the evening was a qualifer for a tournament to determine the number one contender for the X Division championship at the January Pay Per View, Genesis, which will stream online on TNA's website. Japanese flier Dragon Kid battled it out with Manik, and whilst it was pretty even throughout the match it was the Masked Dragon who got the win following an Ultra Hurricanranna.

We then went backstage to here a limo was pulling up. Whilst Taz and Tenay speculated if it was who Jeff Hardy and Aries were speaking of earlier, the door opened and outstepped...Desmond Wolfe! Was Wolfe here to fix TNA, we wouldnt have long to find out as after the commercial break he made his way down to ringside and said that whilst he was here to enforce change, he wasnt being employed by Dixie Carter to do so. No, he was here to usher in new blood, and he wanted to start by getting rid of the dead weight. And a good jumpoff point, according to Wolfe, was Kurt Angle. Wolfe spoke of their previous issues, when he was with the company and said he was the victim some questionable tactics from Angle and dubious officiating in their matches. Kurt Angle made his way onto the stage, and said he was through with Wolfe and would not b giving him another match, ever. Wolfe said that's fine as he's not here to wrestle, but is working with a new client, who will make himself known in the coming weeks. "You will accept my proposition, Mr. Angle, you simply don't have a choice."

The second match of the evening saw Kenny King face off with Stampede graduate and Hart family member, Teddy Hart. The bout, which would also be an X-Division tournament qualifer, was fastpaced with both athletes getting in plenty of offence. Kenny King picked up the win and will advance through, however, hitting the Royal Flush for the victory. Tenay was quick to point out on commentary though, that Teddy Hart will be sticking around and plying his trade in the X Division for the forseeable future, and TNA are very interested in seeing what he can do.

Backstage, TNA Knockouts champ Gail Kim was conducting an interview with a reporter from TMZ when the BEautiful People, Velvet Sky and Angelina Love, confronted her claiming she wasn't deserving of a TMZ story, claiming she was old, ugly and yesterdays news. Love said the fans out there dont want athletes like Ronda Rousey and Gail Kim representing women, they want The Beautiful People. Kim suggested they exit the vicinity quickly or else they may have to remove the "beautiful" from their tag team monicker.

One half of the tag team champions, Davey Richards, then did battle with a returning worker, in Frankie Kazarian. Kazarian and Richards shook hands before the match and had a great back and forth contest, both getting in plenty. Tenay informed fans that Richards' partner, Eddie Edwards, was competing in Japan and would not be back in TNA until next month. The match took a turn for the worse however, when a camera man removed his cap and sunglasses, revealing himself to be Kazarian's former Bad Influence tag partner, Christopher Daniels. Daniels nailed Richards with the camera, allowing Kazafrian to pick up the win. Bad Influence are back in TNA.

In tag tea action, James Storm and Bobby Roode reunited for one night only to take on surprise returnees, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, the Motor City Machine Guns. Fans had the opportunity to vote online who they wanted to see face off with Beer Money, and werent disappointed, as the Guns and BM wound back the clock, giving them some of what their legendary fued had, and more. To Roode and Storm's surprise, it wast he Guns who picked up the win, not missing a step and still as good tgether as ever. Their opponents, however, seemed a little rusty, and a shouting match ensued at the conclusion of the match, with both Roode and Storm blaming one another for the loss.

Impact viewers also bore witness to a chilling promotional video, set in a small chapel in the Deep South. whilst we could not see their faces, viewers were able to make out the shaddowy figures of three men, one of whom was preaching, ala Jim Jones. The preacher claimed to be bringing salvation to TNA, and he and his sons will do whatever it takes to ensue this is carried out, in God's name, or not.

In the main event of the evening, MVP and Bobby Lashley slugged it out with Jeff Hardy and X Division champion Austin Aries. The match quickly disintegrated into a brawl, with Tenay and Taz constantly reminding viewers that Dixie Carter's solution would be revealed at the conclusion of the match. The referee was forced to call for the bell whenall four participants began nailing eachother with steel chairs, only for the haunting horns of a familiar face's theme music to hit the speakers. The Samoan Submission Machine, Samoa Joe, made his way down to ringside, making quick work of all four competitors, hitting the musclde buster to each of them. Joe stood tall as MVP and Lashley looked on, backing up the ramp.

"Here Comes The Money"

The crowd in the Manhatten Centre exploded with the shocking appearance of Shane McMahon, son of WWE chairman Vince! Shane said he was going to keep things short and sweet. He's here to shake things up, sort things out, out with the old, in with the new, starting with the new number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship...Samoa Joe! Impact went of fthe air with the crowd chanting TNA, MVP and Lashley looking pissed off and Samoa Joe looking ready to goto war.
