Be careful, not sure but think that it may have been a comment that was opposite to what it seems, Emjaycee has long defended the R&R team, maybe he’s changed his opinion,
Good luck finding a post from me in defence of the R&R team, unless of course you mean where I correct blatant inaccuracies of other posters who like to think that exaggerating and being disingenuous in order to try and win an argument on an internet forum is a defensive move.

Line speed is very good! It's been one of our biggest improvements.

Yep the more ruck runs our backs are doing allows the forwards to focus more on defence. Maybe if we had Moses with his better kicking and ability to pin teams in their 5m area with his bombs we might actually play the ball inside the opposition half off kick returns?

The kid has only had 5 nrl games, and is already pretty safe. He will get a lot better.

He is doing pretty good! Mm

Our biggest problems are go forward. We literally have none. To often we are making 30mtrs a set or less.
That start with the wingers. Russel and JAC aren't meter eaters. Either is Iongi. Huge issue.
If you have a small fullback you need two strong wingers. We can fix one spot by shifting Lomax there. I am unsure We sign the Fox if we persist with Iongi.

Joe O,Jnr and Tuivati are doing a job Hopgood has zero punch. Lane isn't taking runs and Kutoga whilst strong and defends well has offered zero with the ball.
Morretti,Williams,Matterson, Bryce,Doorey,Walker will all help.

1 Iongi
2 Lomax
3 Penisini /Simmo
4 D.Brown
5 JAC
6 Joash
7 Moses

8 Joe O
9 R.Smith
10 J.Williams
11 Matterson
12 Bryce/Lane
13 Walker

14 Jnr
15 Doorey
16 Hopgood
17 Morretti
Samarani in 2 games almost made 200m per game. Also a number of tackle busts.
Throw him in and Simonsson in there and pensini and Russell out the backline looks a lot better.

My backline
Papalii
Lomax
Samrani
Simonsson
Jac
Walker
Moses
Forwards
Hopgood
Bryce
Kautoga
J Williams
Ryley
Jnr
Reserves
Doorey
Ionghi
Moretti
Matto

Another loss but there are some good signs out there, just hope they can fix some area before the Dragons game.

Fmd these commentators are annoying praising these Manly players
We are despised for whatever reason, unfortunately in this form we are just loading the bullets

I don’t want to interrupt the game thread so I thought I’d post this here.

We are limited in most aspects of the game right now and I thought I’d put my thoughts on today’s players moving forwards.

Verdict: not many, if any, will be here when we win the comp in the next couple of years.

Let me know where I am right or wrong in your opinion

1. Just a rookie. Has some flare but ideally needs a break. Major reshuffle needed to make that happen. It won’t happen and it will to be to his and our detriment. Servicable as the weakest link in a good spine.
2. A below average first grader. Could have a ten year career at average clubs but won’t see much “success”.
3. Potentially an above average first grade level player given the right circumstances. Not a natural footballer. Needs space with the ball but needs it to be created by others. One on one defence good enough but needs support around him decision wise.
4. Probably a better winger than centre but hasn’t been at a club that has allowed him to prove any different. Effort and energy player. Unfortunately, that is a week to week proposition. Potential superstar.
5. Good finisher but if there is no start then there is no finish. Offers zero in our own half.
6. A runner and a temperamental one at that. Broken play specialist but if there is no broken play? A nuffie without a dominant 7.
7. Above average for a backup 7. We don’t want him named every week but can fill a hole with a decent 6. (See above)
10. Massive unit. Stops before the line. Built like Tarzan. Plays like Jane. No more a captain or a leader than I am. Disappointing.
9. Below average first grade. Just filling a hole.
16. Limited ability but shows more ticker than most. More than useful in a better side than ours.
11. Standard first grader. Exists but doesn’t excel. You’d hope he is cheap. Hole filler.
12. Starting for us will only hurt his development. Not a guy that would earn a starting spot elsewhere. Has bench potential it’s but not here, for his sake or ours.
13. Very good player if looking for a worker bee in his position. Depends on the makeup of the team. 2025 Eels is not it.
14. I like the kid. Enthusiasm is half the battle and he has it. Not a playmaker but with the right 7 and 6 will be well above average. Others will determine his career. A footballer.
17. Too early to tell. Playing in a shit team either helps or hinders him.
18. A cheaper Paulo. If he uses his size rather than his brain he will have a career.
19. A potential handy first grader. If I’m his manager I’m getting him away from us.

Got no issues with Iongi, long term he’ll be great. He’s going to have the odd mistake or rush of blood in him, he’s played 5 games…

he’s playing without either of the halves he spent the whole offseason training with (Dylan isn’t playing and contributing as much to the game as Moses is).

ill judge him when Moses is back and we have a 6 playing who wants to be there

We're just going to have to persist with hands or lussik till Smith gets more experience

How was players like Smith and tuivati playing mostly flegg last year?

Good qustion for the HOF...
We are past that stage, may as well keep them on the park, will benefit them next year
