Todd Payten and Gareth Ellis

I saw the tackle that Payten was out on report for and honestly believe he has nothing to worry about.

But what did Gareth Ellis do that everyone is talking about?

Thanks

Ellis stuck out a foot which went close to being a trip. He withdrew the foot just in time and made no contact. Think he got cautioned by one of the refs, but it would have been along the lines of "that was nearly a trip - be careful". He shouldn't have a problem, although you can never be sure what the match review committee/judiciary will come up with.

I don't think either of them will have a problem, but the judiciary is like the video ref, just when you think common sense has to prevail...

ellis needs to get that sh*t out of his game. i know its just a reaction but still its the wrong time of year to be trying stuff like that.

if payten is cited he merely needs to take the video of justin poores tackle against penrith. he got off and it was pretty much the same thing.

Let's not forget that Bennett has photos of all the former players who are now judiciary panel members doing things which can only be described by the following...--...

Poore and Soward incidents (no weeks for the dangerous throw or the Soward double-foot WWE kick tackle on Inglis) wasn't based on reasonable consideration of the incidents!!!

The Judiciary listens to, but seldom takes into account, the notion of precedent. I don't think Payten should have any problems but if he gets cited he'll probably miss a week.
