Wow. Two grades, 100% kicking... lets see if our "best" grade can continue the pattern...

Results aren't everything in the lower grades. Flegg I'm not too fussed about this year, as we have 7 guys at the moment playing higher grades. The 3 who scored in Premier League are all eligable for Flegg, so thats encouraging signs for the future. Overall though, i thought Premier League would do better with good players like Paul Franze playing.

Yeah, that is quite a disappointing effort. Particularly as the Wests Tigers' lower grade teams are split into two. :?

Still, both are very competitive, and both had strong Flegg sides last year. How many players have stayed in Flegg or gone up, I don't know.

Going by the report on the front page, Ben Galea played for the Tigers, as did others who'll see some first grade this year like Robbie Farah and Bronson Harrison.

By the way, if any Tigers fans read this, how did you pull off the signing of Jermaine Alberts? I can't believe the Cowboys would let him go, after they blew up about the situation where they lost his brother Ashley Alberts, last year.

ali.......to be honest im not quite sure how we ended up with him, i think he played the flegg game on friday night. As for the tigers side in PL , there's some real talent in that side............yes Galea and Farah who've played first grade did play but Harrison( played in sevens) , Greally, Small, Harper , Lima and Pethybridge are all very promising players,

Guys I wouldn't be too hard on any of your teams.

Flegg made the semi finals last year and while we were missing a lot of our stars (and by all accounts so were you) we still have a quality side out there. To be honest neither team was too impressive and we were lucky to get away with the win, you guys by rights should have scored a run-away try that was only brought down by a desperate ankle tap by Jaime Grant...if he hadn't pulled it off or if Burns' field goal attempt the set before braumann got his over hadn't gone wide the results would have been very different.

In first division - well we're traditionally competative and this year have the best team I've ever seen us put on the park, you guys might not know the names yet but there are some top class players in that team including several junior reps.

I thought Michael Greenfield was supurb for you guys in flegg (i'd love to sign him up!) along with Burns while dallalana looked good for PL.

On Alberts I have no idea how we got him but we seem to have some good scouts in NQ, we tend to end up with one or two quality players a year from up north.

Greenfield was an Aus schoolboy last year, so has a big future.

In PL, If you don't mind, how did Aitken @ 6 and Simmons @ 1 play. For mine both have big futures. And what about Paul Franze? Who I would like to see back in first grade ASAP.

ali ...check out rleague ....beeks has compiled a bit of match report (though there was some conflicting flegg results)

His general consensus though was that simmo had a shocker, and franze was dissapointing at best
