Adam joins Storm coaching set up for 2009
Melbourne Storm has secured the services of premiership winning Toyota Cup coach Tony Adam as its development coach for 2009.
Adam, who guided Canberra's under-20s squad to the inaugural Toyota Cup premiership, will begin his new role later this month.
Adam has spent the past four seasons as a vital member of the Raiders' coaching staff.
He was the defence coach for the ACT Brumbies in the Super 14 rugby union competition for the two years prior to his move to the Raiders.
Storm general manager of football operations Frank Ponissi said Adam's signing was a massive boon for the club.
"With our depth being tested over the last few years with the salary cap, the development of the younger members of the squad is going to be critical to the success of the Melbourne Storm," said Ponissi.
"We are confident Tony's appointment will help us achieve that goal."

This is a shame , he done a wonderful job with our U20's , I would like to see him retained if not as U20 coach but a role in the club with junior development.
I believe he knew well in advance that we werent keeping him well before we took out the GF.
