Too casual and should show alot more urgency at times. But when he builds up speed he can be a handful for defences. Great solo try by him last night.

its amazing how well he does when he is running hard and busting tackles... instead of his slow motion antics every other game.

Should really be developed as a backrower. He could be awesome there as well if he shows interest in matches

He's a work in progress.

The experience he is gaining in first grade this season will serve him well next year. As will the confidence boost from that fine individual try last night against the Tigers.

I just think the main thing with him is, his fitness. He was getting there during the pre-season before a hamstring injury set him back.

If he can get through the rest of the season without picking up an injury.....then a really good pre-season......I think he will be terrific for us next year.

Can break tackles when he gets his speed up. But no urgency getting back for kick returns and his reading of defence is shoddy. He left 2 tigers unmarked on his outside for that Farah kick try!!

I think he'll more than likely drop out of the 17 once Brett comes back. Robbo will go straight back to the wing (where he belongs) and I doubt Des will replace one of the current bench players, for him. We'll see......

If he hit the line like that every time he ran the ball up he would be unstoppable. Fingers crossed he has gained some confidence from that.

I tend to agree on the backrower thing.

That try has to be one of the top ten tries of the season.

Let's hope the firecracker Dessie has lodged within his rectum doesn't fade out anytime soon.

yeah, an amazing try.. but i'd rather dessie teach him how to stay in position!!! and understand what the team is doing in attack... very frustrating.. but he is young..

Project.

50/50 as to wether he will make it or not. If Des is the coach many think he is, williams should be a star.

Des knows exactly what he got with big tony he is a work in progress it will take time but from what im hearing in a couple of years that try that he scored on monday night will become more regular. Des & the coaching staff know his potential we as manly fans have to be patient because Dessie will deliver big time on T-rex.
