Tony Williams

It's arguable it was a controversial selection to many but I thought he was pretty much the best on the field and will keep guys like wrecking ball Dave Taylor who will be fighting for that same position in time to come.

Could we have a new GI on our hands?; In terms of performing better on the big stage.

I'd honestly keep him there for the Test Match; Make few changes like Inglis to come in for one of Lawrence or Tonga; Darius Boyd really stood up to the plate so him or Yow Yeh will be a bit of a selection issue.

NZ must abandon the Issac Luke off the bench experiment; He was probably one of two players who looked liked they gave a damn the other being Kevin Locke. He is head and shoulders the best kiwi hooker within the squad and possibly the best ever and must start; I'd only assume Shaun Johnson has a mortgage for the bench spot.

Williams is where he belongs in the forwards and the sooner Taylor realises he's a Moi Moi and stops jamming up the backs the better.

Lawrence was up to the job and will probably get the nod if only to keep people with blue eyes smiling.

What the Kiwis did last night will have no resemblance to what they do in the Four Nations

Williams did all right. mind you he came on after the game was over, be interesting to see how he goes when he really needs to step up.

Lawrence went well but Tonga was also pretty impressive (he even passed the ball a few times!)

Really? I didn't think he did anything hugely impressive, he came on when the game was well and truly won and just ran at Benji.

A backrowers Job.. If he did that, then he did a very good job!!

He was very impressive.

I think Tonga should be the other centre partnering Inglis. Do not know how he missed out in the initial squad.

Get Mannering as Benjis bodyguard like he is for Maloney and we will see Tony Williams the GF edition.

He had a very lazy effort in defense in the second half where someone went through a gap he helped created and he gave what could only be described as an uncommitted chase.

I think Tony is fine when you're on top, but he isn't the player i'd be looking to if the chips were down.

Williams did well but should be playing for Tonga and not Australia.

he should never played for tonga in the first place as he never had any intention of committing to them. he knocked them back for years, played against them only weeks before the world cup with the junior kangaroos and only played the world cup when he found out it wouldnt ruin origin and kangaroo selection in the future. i have spoken to him about who he wanted to play for and he told me australia because he was born here, this was before he was established in first grade!

in saying that, since he DID play for tonga, i agree, he should only be available for them.

For me Williams is highly overrated. I really don't understand how he made the Australian team.

Taylor should not go anywhere near a rep team until he mans up and runs at the forward. Not only is he dead weight when it comes to making metres but he stifles the back line by getting in their way. That plus you just don't want to pick a pea hearted forward for a rep game.
