with Galea, Howland, Mclean, F Puletua, Campbell, Swain and Stapleton going from that top 25, who will get the call up? Gordon, Bell and Norrie have already taken that step, maybe Smith and Worth, but who else?? Jennings?? and we still have one open slot,

id expect Craig Trindall to drop into the top 25 by default, simply because our managment dont look like purchasing first graders, and he has shown he has potential to be one.

While there will be no big name signings for 2007 we will definitely sign another 4 or 5 low key type signings who will no doubt make the numbers for the top 25. I don't profess to know who those low key signing may be and I suspect neither do the club at the present time. The signings will probably we made after the season is over, similar to the signings of Lee Hookey, Craig Stapleton from last season.

possibly but given our lack of depth in the centre position I'd personally rather see lewis stay in the centres. Other option include Ation, Peter Wallace or Craig Trindall.

Whats up with Junior Moors? I really thought he'd make his mark this year, big strong and fast, with a deadly offload, surely he's not another Junior Paulo?

Jarrod Sammut, Liam Campbell has been doing a good job in Flegg while Jarrod has played P.L
Nathan Pill is another option as is Josh Bateman who can play 5/8 and lock forward. Interested to see how Bob Blair does at 5/8 in P.L this week as well.

I'm not sold on Liam Campbell to be honest. I saw a bit of him for Wests Panthers in QLD Cup Colts and also a few games this year. Doesn't strike me as a player that has "it"...same with Bateman.

Pill I liked what I saw of him.

What has happened to Wayne Bond?...played for PNG then disappeared off the face of the planet.

Big Mick, aside from any late signings from Queensland Cup, Bartercard Cup or ESL I think your squad is 100% spot on. The only problem is as you have rightly pointed out it is probably 5 quality players short of being truly competitive in the NRL. As a result of our poor retention and recruitment policies in the last 2 - 3 seasons we have effectively fallen behind most other clubs and are clearly back in the pack. The definition of pack being sides competing for the top 8.

Based on the fact we have lost two established front row rowers in Stapleton and Frank P who is going to start with Clinton in 2007.

Matt Cross is perhaps the obvious choice based on the fact he was a front rower when he came to the club from Canberra and played in the role in the PL for us prior to breaking into first grade.

Matt Elliot seems to favour front rowers who are mobile so on that basis it is not beyond the realms of possibility Trent Waterhouse could figure in Elliot's plans for the front row?

Kilkenny Matt Cross signed with yo ufrom Batemans Bay Group 7 RL.

Matthew Elliott will conjure up something - i think Alan Rothery may sign with Penrifffff

I don't want Rothery but I kind of suspected that signing would occur initially when our Front Rower's started departing.

Replacing Stapleton with Rothery is like replacing Makybe Diva with a Donkey.

Personally...Waterhouse needs to play prop. He is mobile, big and can get an offload away. I can see him becoming a Steve Price like prop....but then again, we all know we don't make the easy or smart decisions with regards to our players.
