Was watching John Wall for the first time yesterday. Kid's got game. Super quick of the dribble, great vision and a pretty reasonable defender. Can also shoot the ball pretty well. Given the way the hand-check rules are, kid is going to be very hard to defend. Only problem I saw was that he was a little prone to turnovers, but thats to be expected in a young kid.

Him team-mate Cousins is pretty good as well. Massive guy (about 280 pounds) but is surprisingly quick and seems to have good hands. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go high in the draft.

One thing I noticed when watching the Kentucky game was that on alot of their half-court sets, Wall would look over at Callipari, who would relay to Wall a play for his team to run. I'd heard that his happened alot in college hoops but it was just fascinating to watch. I think Wall will find himself more liberated in the pros.

Yeah Bledsoe looks good as well. Could we have another instance like in the 07 draft when 3 players from the same team go in the top 10 like with that championship Gators team.

I've heard people describe Wall as a combination of Rose's skills with Rondo's athleticism. Not a bad way of putting it.

I have watched Kentucky play Ole Miss, really liked Cousins play and I think he will go Top 5 in the draft. Wall has a great allround offensive game, can shoot from outside and drive and can pass.

Depends which team drafts him - I'd say at least half of NBA coaches do the exact same thing.

Really? When do you see Cp3, D-Will, Nash or Kidd looking over to their coach on every single half-court set that their teams run?

Coming to the NBA will allow him to follow his instincts more and play things as he see's it imo.

"At least half" isn't the same as "all".

Irrespective of that, he won't be given free reign immediately, by any coach.

The point I was making is that NBA coaches tend to allow great PG's to run the show.

He certainly won't be getting free-reign immediately, but I think he'll definitely get more leeway in the pro's than he does in college, which I think is the point I was making to begin with.
