Came very close to making my line-up. Would probably be before Timu in all honesty but given my bias and preference in impact bench players I opted out.

I admit I haven't seen a lot of the sides but the named wingers must be very good to keep Marika Koroibete from the Tigers out. Noticed the flying Fijian scored a hatrick tonight against the Cowboys. Were would Marika rank amongst the wingers?

Right up there if he can stay on the field a bit.

Injuries and suspension have been costly but if he keeps his form up he'll find himself in the team of the year without doubt.

One could be a cynic and suggest the team comprises one from each club with the obligatory three from the Broncos (even if they don't warrant selection).

I can't recall Simon Dwyer or Aaron Woods being selected in the team of the year, yet both would be considered to be two of the finest young forwards produced from the competition.

Woods never really played much NYC. 4 in 2008, 3 in 2010 & 1 in 2011. His only real shot was in 2009 where he played 18 games & he just wasn't as good as Merrin or Bromwich that season.

Dwyer can consider himself unlucky, particularly in 2009. The position of the Dragons and the Sea Eagles counted again him IMO.

Would go close to making the starting side or bench on Team of the Year IMO.

Has really carried Souths this season IMO.

Keary would be starter for sure. He is deadest lighting it up for Souffs. Zac Santo from the Cows should make it too.

They're some great looking sides they are.....

Very hard to pick a stand out...I'd probably say 2008 would just pip 2010...

2013 Props > Kane Evans (Roosters) & Dave Klemmer (Dogs).
In fact, if they stay fit & healthy they will be the bookends for the Jnr Kangaroos.

Can't say I know much about them and they may well be the jnr kangaroo props but they would be doin well to keep Ligi Sao out of the team as he's been the warriors best player and they're the top side

What a bench! too bad about the starting halves, in fact not one of that whole backline have played regular first grade.
