he hasn't set the nfl world on fire.

the browns now think they wasted a high pick on him and are trying to get maximum value for him. another season of rushing in the 3-4 yards a pop range will see his value plummet.

.

From an article on yahoo:

"Last year he ranked 7th in Pro Football Focus' Elusive Rating. He caused 59 missed tackles on his touches and still had just 3.6 yards per carry. He was getting hit at the line. He also played through a rib cartilage injury at less than 100% and other nicks and bruises. This is all to say that Richardson is good and even after two sub-par statistical games with Cleveland this season, he still led all running backs in PFF's Elusive Rating. He's doing more work for those few yards than most backs do for 20."

Watch him shine now

Yep. If the Colts can continue to build their OLine, the idea of having T-Rich in the back field and Luck slinging the ball is appealing.

Isn't the colts' oline worse than the browns' oline?

If the Colts can come out of next years draft and FA with some OL help, maybe some secondary help and a stud WR... they are 2nd tier contenders with this move IMO

especially with how weak the AFC appears
Denver, NE and the Texans are the only team in the AFC who i think are top 10 in the NFL

Having other offensive weapons will definitely help Richardson aswell. Now he's just another piece of the puzzle as oppose to being looked up to be the main man

f**k me. Heads need to roll in Pittsburgh during the off season. The talent acquisition has been abysmal for years. This desperate move makes me think Colbert and Tomlin realise that too, finger in the dyke kinda stuff.

Okay, I'm on board with this trade now. He's an upgrade on the human beaded curtain Mike Adams.
He's costing sweet FA. Steelers pay $840k with the Cards picking up the other $2.8m of his contract for this season. If he doesn't work out, he can be cut at the end of the season, no strings attached. It's all upside for the Steelers.
From what I've read he has been a decent run blocker which will help a lot, if we can run the ball better then we can get Ben working off more legit play action, he doesn't need a great line to get it done, just a mediocre one.

Still stand by my heads need to roll comment though, the abysmal failures in scouting and drafting deserves someone being held accountable.

I actually think Mike Adams is better than Levi Brown, not much, like it's bee's dick stuff. But Mike Adams is in his 2nd year, there is still some chance that he can improve and be a servicable RT... Levi Brown is in like his 5th or 6th year and he pretty much is who he is right now, and that's the league worst LT... and one of the leagues worst RTs

This is a bad bad move. I mean there is no upside here for the steelers, Levi Brown isnt going to magically become a good tackle, he's going stink, maybe more than Mike Adams, maybe slightly less, but he's going to stink, and the steelers are going to pay something for him and probably lose a very late round pick, a pick they could use to hang on to given how bad they are.

I think they'd have been better off keeping their money, keeping their conditional pick and not having Levi Brown.

I don't think it's a bad, bad move. They're paying the absolute minimum, see what happens with the pick, but the way it's looking we'll get a 6/7 round comp pick for Ryan Mundy to go with comp picks from Lewis and Wallace. So if he stinks, he stinks, we're not that much worse off. Gotta try something.

Edit: Steelers are also receiving a conditional pick in return.

Also, reading between the lines from some coach and player comments there has been some attitude issues among the team, I'm guessing Adams is a part of that. He had questions over his character coming in, could be a kick in the arse for more than just performance.
