Due to the great programming of the AFL, the storm game will be in direct opposition to the Coll v Bris final. Great to see the two codes can co-exist. Only 2 games of footy on there on at the same time!!! :evil:

Yeah just great timing by the AFL, can't believe that with the whole week end they had to pick the same time as the last Home Storm Game. Oh well if you are driving in, go in early and head to Vodaphone maybe!

Don't the AFL have set schedules for the fianls, where 1 v 4 is always this time, and 2 v 3 always at that particular time on that partricular day like in the NRL?

The Collingwood/Brisbane game would have been on friday night but brisbane wanted more than a 6 day break since they travelled in the last round. And since the AFL is fixated on making money they put the game that would rate best at the best time (which after friday night is saturday night). I doubt they would have cared about what the storm were doing.

Imagine the traffic if the MCG redevelopment didn't cut the crowd down by more than the average storm game.

PD it wasn't only AFL pass holders they let in after 5 pm - We paid for a season car park at the start of the year which guaranteed us a parking spot at every Storm home game. So a lot of the pass holders you saw were going in were Storm supporters like us.

yeah i was surprised at how quickly i got into OP for the match considering i was expecting a bank-up of traffic along both swan st and punt road.

great to see a crowd of over 10,000 as well there for marcus bai's farewell home match - a great storm hero!

any chance of re-naming the open (eastern) stand the marcus bai stand?? it should be done along with the redecvopment of the stand for the commonwealth games in '06!
