Dale Newton is a prop from Souths Premier League.

I think he is a pretty good player.

It would be good to know who else has signed with Newtown.

He played in the first grade too. He is from the redcliffe dolphins.

Well If Greg MATTO is the official assistant coach for P/League. I would say there is DEFINATELY no Jim Beam side !!!!!!!!!!!!

Players who do not play Pl will not play in A-grade at all
That not what I was implying for a second actually. But here is a question....Where are the P/league side going to find replacements from when history has consistantly shown that THEY WILL be required to bolster gaps from injury and suspension etc ????

Didn't see that.

Sad news for the club, but guess it's a fact of modern day RL life. :(

The club went down to one team when it first moved up into PL but then gathered enough momentum to expand again. If it is the case that is goes back to one team next year, it will not necessarily be forever or for a long time. With all the chopping, bumbling and changing the NSWRL muppets are into, certainty is one thing in short supply for RL clubs below the NRL.

It is just a fact of life this has happened but who knows what will happen in 12 months, given our strong crowds for PL perhaps things may have been different if the same people supported JBC over the past few years especially stand alone games.
It is a big impost and sometimes all businesses need to consolidate their positions before expanding

It has been a shame that The Beam side has not been given more home games prior to Henson Prem/league, however understand that this is difficult. I have always followed them as you would know and attended as many games as possible always, however a 150 thousand cap is a lot of cash. It's just a shame, and I strongly believe if we have another bad season of injuries we will struggle to find replacements.

Look at last season, and for that matter any previous season. How many players have HAD to step up from Beam to fill gaps. The list IS rather HUGE when you look into it !!!

Will it be HUGE enough to upset a TOP 4 prem/league finish come semi time will remain to be seen. Or if the Flegg side are fighting for a top 4 spot will their players be instantly available if needed in Prem/league ( say in order for the p/league to finish top four, will the Roosters flegg chances be jeopadised at this expense ). I doubt it !!!! Just worries me where the depth will be in 2007 !!!

Maybe big Pete can come back from retirement again to fill in the injury gaps. ????????

Depth has been an issue in the past and there is no reason why it shall cease to be again in future seasons !!!
