That was hardly Klein's fault. There was an in goal touchie standing next to Maloney. Klein was unsighted.

Aus beat Fiji 18-0.

Fiji with a lot of work to do, PNG should romp home their pool matches, Australia were Australia.

I seen 4,000 on the stream at one point.

Look I think that was fantastic for Fijian rugby league, sensational even , needs to happen more, end of season tours to the islands, before they head to the uk. I can only see that benifiting png and Fiji before the World Cup, great warm up games to iron out issues. Fiji were much better in the second game .

TOM Trbojevic has staked his claims for a debut Test spot after starring for Australia in their pre-World Cup hit out against PNG and Fiji.

Australia — who came through the game unscathed — were rusty as they took on PNG and Fiji in a half each at ANZ Stadium in Suva. They overcame PNG 20-4 before beating Fiji 18-0.

Trbojevic fullback scored a try and laid on two others in a strong performance. He played right centre to start the game before switching to fullback for the second match against Fiji.

Valentine Holmes was the other standout as he created plenty of headaches for the opposition defence, filling in for the rested Billy Slater at fullback for the opening 40 before taking his place on the wing.

James Maloney, Josh Dugan and Wade Graham were among the other best players for Australia while Aaron Woods, David Klemmer and Jake Trbojevic laid on a strong platform early.
