instead of the tri nations being playing in england why don't they play the games in countrys such as russia, lebanon, france, png, italy etc.
It will give those countrys the chance to see the best rugby league countrys in the world battle it out

Not a bad idea, but I would much prefer them play in Australia, England and New Zealand, since it is a TRI-SERIES.

We barely get enough internationals as it is and you wanna take them to OTHER countries. My God!

You'd make the most money playing it at home. That's the priority.

With International League needing money, its best to play those sort of matches at one of the countires homes to get better crowd support.

Why does England get all the matches though? The format should be home/away like the Union 3N tournament. I doubt a tournament in England would pull six good crowds.

Why can't the ARL get off it's fat useless arse and HOST a Tri-Series in AUSTRALIA. It'd be awesome for promotion.

Why dont they just use the Tri Nations format As stated above including bonus points (1 point for scoring 4 tries and 1 point for coming within 6)

I don't like bonus point systems much. But thats just my opinion.

All games are in England because they want more money from the TV contracts basically. But I still think the Aus/Nz matches should be played in Aus and Nz. So we could alternate it each time. One time would see all GB games in Gb, and the Aus/Nz matches in Aus and Nz. Then the other time all matches would be in Aus or Nz.

Well he's wrong. RL viewing figures on both SKY and the BBC are among the best per capita figures inthose channels' sporting portfolios.

In fact, GB's sponsors, the Dept of Transport, attached a bonus figure onto viewing figures for the 2003 Ashes - a bonus that was activated by the very healty figures on SKY.

In the last Rugby league World Cup, the England vs Ireland Match drew far more TV viewers than any state of origin or Grand final match Australia has ever staged. From Memory it also out rated the union games on at the same time which was something like Scotland vs New Zealand. Rugby League pretty much gets spectacular TV ratings everywhere (A few years ago the state of origin attracted about 80% of the Tv Audience, an astounding figure. I am not sure whether or not they still get those good results in New Zealand). Even in Melbourne, league has always got very good ratings results - Look at the origin and finals games (when on at proper time) and even the storm games had figures which were respectable. Strangely though, there isnt the same live attendances at the games (even in Sydney and Brisbane).
