Anthony Milford headlines a host of changes for the Dolphins second trial. After a difficult few seasons, Milford has reunited with coach Wayne Bennett and will be looking to play the type of football he was when he made the Grand Final under Bennett's tuteledge. Milford will be joined by 8 other NRL contracted players who will be eager to make history and play in the club's inaugural NRL clash against the Roosters.

One of those will be Tesi Niu who recently joined the Dolphins after being granted a release from the Brisbane Broncos. The talented youngster has shown glimpses of greatness but has struggled with consistensy in his young career. It appears Bennett has made a call and that Tesi will build his game in the centres where his foot-work and passing game can be of use. Tesi had a stint there for the Broncos in 2021 when he covered for the injured Kotoni Staggs but he was eventually dropped after five starts. Hopefully under Bennett's coaching he can find more success.

The Cowboys have named a second string side for the clash with a good balance of youth and experience. After their break-out season, I'm sure a few of these players will have a point to prove to break into one of the stronger NRL line-ups.

Katoa made many mistakes, but being a trial, it was good to see the defensive efforts of the team, especially since it was a heap of juniors.
Euan Aiken running down the 100 metre intercept was great, even if it was scored regardless, he should hold one centre position for sure.
And the winger bostock was pretty solid especially with that freakish try
