Is it just me, but some of the passes from dummy half by saints are a long way forward- its good to see the line-persons keeping up their involvement from last year

- Ponga looking like Ponga - dangerous with every touch. Still a bit of work to do of course, but he looks great.
- Watson playing fantastic. He'll be a fantastic fullback for us.
- Daniel Saifiti looks the best he's ever looked. He looks lean, fit and eager to inject himself.
- Klemmer solid, Glasby solid.
- Gavet close to our best FRF, looks dominant in attack and defence.
- Lachie Fitzgibbon looks set to have an even bigger 2019. Lots of work in D and attack. Showed great footwork and line running for his try.
- Pearce doing exactly what we've all come to expect - running the show.
- Guerra ok, I don't think he's quite strong enough to play in the middle.
- Mann looks awful at hooker
- Levi played a fantastic 30mins - he's the best hooker at the club by a country f**king mile
- Barnett has had some nice touches
- Both Sione and Ramien quiet.
- Lee and SKD both playing great with typical hard yardage early in the set.

Most impressed with Daniel Saifiti, Gavet, Fitz and Watson.

Agree about Mann so far. He’s making Waddell look like a hooker with lightning quick service. That set of six on the try line where he ended up tackled on the last was terrible- hopefully he grows into the position.

Well our depth remains shit..

Calling them shit is a bit unfair. Half the players beyond the 17 today are either still in Jersey Flegg or recent graduates to Cup; they're simply inexperienced and it's tough when that inexperience is in crucial positions. To not be blown out by an opposition that has multiple players with NRL experience is a good sign we can replace plenty in the starting 17 through injury, suspension or rep.
