Troy`s Week 2 NFL Analysis

Hey All:

Watched as I went 7-9 last week. It's week 1 so
we're all entitled to a poor performance, but this
week I'd better get back on track with a lot of
competitive games on the slate.

Carolina @ Kansas City: Panthers playoff hopes may
have gotten flushed with Steve Smith's 4th Quarter leg
injury. Shame to see one of the best NFL players go
down so early, but it happens every year. Panthers
front four couldn't hold down Ahman Green, so Priest
Holmes should turn out another 150+ rushing
performance. DeShaun Foster should have a decent
game, and Muhsin Muhammad should step up and keep it
close, but just too much for Carolina to handle right
now. Green vs Delhomme shootout? don`t count it out either.
Final Score 30-24 Chiefs

Chicago @ Green Bay: HOLLEEEEEEE f**k I pick against my lads
and they show their true colours, never again...
Bears are going to go through
some growing pains with no clear #1 receiver and
Grossman getting baptized this year. Packers should
be able to stick to the program and just run the ball.
Bears defense should keep it close as Lovie Smith has
brought them back to respectability there. However
Thomas Jones can't provide the offense required to
pull off the upset.
Final Score 17-6 Packers.

Denver @ Jacksonville: Jaguars pulled one out at the
end last week, and that could be a theme for the
season as last year they seemed to just blow the games
at the end. (recall Saints Cal-Stanford throwback)
Jags could keep a lot of games close with a defense
that's starting to move into the top 5 in the NFL.
Yet without an offense they still can't be a playoff
team. Quentin Griffin should continue to impress, and
a shame he's in Denver, not because he can't succeed,
but he won't get respect.
Final Score 23-13 Broncos.

Houston @ Detroit: This should be the most exciting
game of the weekend. I know I won't get a lot of
agreement out of people on this one, but this should
be a classic shootout, lots of scoring and excitement.
Domanick Davis is one of the leagues most impressive
young RBs and Kevin Jones should catch on in the next
few weeks. Roy Williams will emerge as a possession
guy and that will allow Az Hakim to get more vertical.
Watch the Lions, they've got an offense and a defense
that can make some plays.
Final Score 30-27 Lions.

Indianapolis @ Tennessee: Chris Brown will emerge as
a quality replacement for Eddie George, but the Titans
having traded away Justin McCareins and with numerous
roster changes, not to mention the annual Stevie Mac
injury report, won't be able to hang in a division
that should be all Indy this year. No Contest Colts
offense will have this over by halftime.
Final Score 41-13 Colts.

Pittsburgh @ Baltimore: Ravens defense should settle
down after a terrible offensive flop vs. the Browns
last week. Jamal Lewis can't be stopped forever, he
should get the band marching again this week with a
big game against the Steelers. Expect Kyle Boller and
company to look more like the Ravens we expected this
week and get back to .500.
Final Score 23-13 Ravens.

San Francisco @ New Orleans: Saints almost made a
game out of it last week before a late INT put them
away against the Seahawks. 49ers are still taking
applications on that defense, they should get their
offense moving again this week, but this is a
rebuilding year for a 49ers team that shouldn't reach
.500 this season.
Final Score 27-13 Saints.

St. Louis @ Atlanta: Rams did not look impressive at
all last Sunday, barely eeking one out against the
Cardinals. Doubts should continue with another
collapse this week vs. Michael Vick and the offense
that should have been. Falcons should come out firing
and look really impressive. Rams could make a few
plays, but I don't expect a very good game.
Final Score 31-13 Falcons.

Washington @ NY Giants:that was a
terrible outing last weekend. Warner, Manning one of
them has to make use of the weapons on that offense.
With the voids in that Washington secondary, Jeremy
Shockey could finally make a statement here. Expect
the Giants to come around and get some penetration on
defense.
Final Score 24-20 Giants.

Seattle @ Tampa Bay: Buccaneers are in disarray right
now without a clear identity on offense, and missing a
huge leader on defense. This could be a rebuilding
year for the Buccs who desperately need to shake off a
tough loss last week. This week won't be the one
though as the Seahawks continue to impress all the
doubters who think them to be a flash in the pan.
Best team in the NFC.
Final Score 30-10 Seahawks.

Buffalo @ Oakland: Raiders got into a hole early last
week before emerging and making a game of it. This
week they should establish control early and hang on
to it against a Bills team that couldn't hold off the
Jaguars last week.
Final Score 23-10 Raiders.

Cleveland @ Dallas: Cowboys should settle down this
week after the game they watched last week. Browns
are a lot slower and easier to keep up with. Cowboys
personnel matches up real well defensively and that
should allow even Vinnie Intercepteverte lol to keep in the game. Will be
close though.
Final Score 13-10 Cowboys.

New England @ Arizona: How do the Pats get the Cards?
They like win the Superbowl every year and then they
get Arizona? Gift Scheduling, go TOM BRADY!! Should
be an easy game for the Pats as they cruise, Big Day
Corey Dillon. Any1 hear another Rushing record?
Final Score 34-13 Patriots.

NY Jets @ San Diego: Jets are going to get a big head
early 2-0 won't last forever though. Second level
shootout though. I think the Jets make some plays
however and win this game pulling away.
Final Score 30-17 NY Jets.

Miami @ Cincinnati: Bungles, had to eat a tough loss
last week in a game that they should've managed to
win. No Excuses, they have to rebound this week and
with an easy home game against a recovering Dolphin
team could be just the medicine they need. So the
question is, if Ricky's off smoking Pot, and Jamal's
out selling Coke, at what point does Tomlinson or
Holmes keel over from an overdose? Be Careful, just
say no! AHHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Final Score 30-3 Bengals.

Minnesota @ Philadelphia: This could be a playoff
preview. Amazing shoot-out for so early in the year,
this should come down to big plays on defense, and
with Philly recovering in that secondary, the Vikings
should emerge as clearly the better team. Watch Brian
Williams, #29, he's hitting people out there. He
smeared every receiver the Cowboys had last week and I
mean drilled them. Hit TO like that twice, he will
think about it. Should be vikes in the end. Smashmouth
football this one, Bring back the BIFF Ohhh yeahhh.
Final Score 38-20 Vikings.
