New Orleans @ Atlanta: I have to think the Falcons
have some heart, right? After a 36-0 drubbing, I
think Keith Brooking, Chris Draft and company will
take out the soul of the Saints offense (D-MAC) Shut
down McAllister and they can't move the ball. This
will allow Doug Johnson to make some plays, they got
Finneran back, this offense has weapons, even though
the Rams made them look awful, expect a big rebound.
Final Score 24-13 Atlanta.
Tennessee @ Carolina: Panthers defense has been
awesome thus far. They come up big in pressure
situations and remain undefeated. Even shut down the
Colts, but bottom line, Steve McNair is the NFL MVP.
And with the running game dead, they've found life in
the friendly skies, and Air McNair will keep them on
cruise control. Titans air it out early, this
Panthers offense has yet to respond to the challenge
of getting down early.
Final Score 27-20 Tennessee.
Baltimore @ Cincinnati: Ravens have one of the best
young secondaries in the NFL, and they only seem to
improve as time goes on, offensively they've got
really only one thing that works, Jamal Lewis. Expect
this trend to continue as they grind it out and get it
done again, Marvin Lewis has done marvelous in Cincy,
just the record won't indicate it.
Final Score 23-20 Baltimore.
San Diego @ Cleveland: Chargers have no heart, and
regardless of how much their offense can get done
their defense always seems to fail them, too many
injuries at too many positions, and Tomlinson has been
lackluster to say the least this season. Brownies at
home as that offense continues to produce. Another bigday
out for William Green also watch for him to pound out
another 150 yard rushing day.
Final Score 34-23 Cleveland.
Dallas @ Detroit: Tuna has been a tremendous delicacy
for the Cowgirl faithful, however Mooch and the Lions
have been so close for a while here it's time for a
big win. Dallas is a little overrated their defense
isn't all together their offense hasn't been buffed
out just yet. I think this is a good week for the
Lions to grind one out. Shawn Bryson will have a big
game.
Final Score 23-17 Detroit.
New England @ Miami: Patriots defense has been
something else recently. Their secondary doesn't
allow much, then again, the Dolphins don't throw the
ball a lot anyway. The cream seems to be to just turn
and let Ricky Williams pound the middle of the defense
and see what develops, however I think the Pats have a
plan for this I see a low production day for Ricky and
a shocking upset at Pro Player.
Final Score 23-13 New England.
Denver @ Minnesota: I'm starting to get myself on a
trend of picking road teams, I eventually have to take
a home team don't I? I think this is the week home
teams go belly up and road teams make an impression
though. Vikings have done wonderfully thus far, but
this is a well rounded Broncos team that ground out a
tough win against Pittsburgh. I think Broncos will
have Jake Plummer back healthy and Portis will be
fine, and Vikings will get a little humility even with
Culpepper back. Gold, Mobley, and Wilson will be
equal to the task of shutting down the Minnesota
ground game, which will allow the Broncos to play
nickel and double Randy Moss, this should work.
Final Score 20-16 Denver. BTW AFTER I TYPED THIS OUT I ONLY JUST HEARD THAT JAKE PLUMMER IS OUT 5 WEEKS WITH BROKEN FOOT!!!
Philadelphia @ NY Giants: Giants offensive line is
swiss cheese lately and Kerry Collins can't seem to
get this offense going in the right direction, never
fear however, this is the struggling eagles coming to
the Meadowlands. I think the Giants offense will get
back on track this week and Amani Toomer will have a
big day. But hell McNabb is back....so
Final Score 30-24 NY Giants.
Green Bay @ St. Louis: Ahman Green was pretty upset
about that fumble, but he better forget it quickly cuz
he's the only chance the Packers got to combat this
Rams defense. Secondary is too much, Favre will get
into some trouble with the Rams pass rush, and on turf
these WR's for the rams are just too fast for Packer
Corners to contend with. So it`ll be upto Ahman Green
to get the job done on the ground assault. Adam Archuleta
will have a big game with Tackles also for Rams.
Final Score 38-20 Green Bay.
NY Jets @ Houston: Interesting match-up Jets got back
to basics last week pounding the ball, Power Running,
beat up on the Bills defense, and their defense got a
pass rush on Bledsoe and exploited the lack of Eric
Moulds. However this Texans offense has a huge
arsenal of weapons in the air and an up and coming RB
in Domanic Davis, expect a big win for Capers crew at
home vs. Herm Edwards' Jets.
Final Score 27-16 Houston.
Washington @ Buffalo: Bills showed nothing last week,
their defense got pounded up on the ground, their
secondary held well until late, but this week against
a very talented Redskins offense, they'll need Mould
back to keep it close. Expect a wide array of
fireworks from spurrier's machine.
Final Score 41-20 Washington.
Tampa Bay @ San Francisco: 49ers got smoked by the
Seahawks as anticipated and Owens lol @ 36 yds and
about 5 drops when he complained about not getting the
ball. This Buccaneer defense is coming after people
Garcia will give in to Tim Rattay by first quarters
end, baptism by fire from there should be an ugly day.
Final Score 30-6 Tampa Bay.
Chicago @ Seattle: Rex Grossman will get the nod, but
won't compete much against an underrated young
secondary with a lot of spirit. These guys create
turnovers and wreak havoc, and the Bears offense will,
well if you want to see a defensive masterpiece and a
blueprint of domination I implore you to watch this
game cuz this will be the epitome of what the Seahawks
defense can do in this game. I wonder if Seattle's
offense will get on the field if the defense keeps
scoring. Should be a bad outing for Chicago.
Final Score 37-0 Seattle.
Kansas City @ Oakland: Somebody's gotta stay
undefeated, Jerry Porter should be out one more week,
but this is the Raiders Chiefs rivalry, so expect him
to be a game-time throw in and he'll have a big game.
Chiefs will pull out another gutty win though as
Priest Holmes looms large in the bright lights of
Monday Night.
Final Score 31-27 Kansas City.
