Hands like feet. Disgraceful.

Our props in our top 25 next year should be Shillington, Tilse, Joyce and Miller. Thompson should be banished to SL.

I hear what you are saying,But it must be discussed as it is of growing CONCERN.
As Tombo has pointed out the guy has very bad hands ATM,They all look like they have Mad Monday on their minds.

Thompson should be released at the end of the season. Good bloke but definitely not a first grade standard player and has the worst hands I have ever seen.

I used to rate Thommo quite highly but the last couple of seasons, he has been very ordinary. His hands let him down time and again.

He carried our forward pack at the back end of last year. When he got injured he was one of our players we missed the most.

still think he's got something to contribute but he's got to lift his game dramatically

Thommo is about as handy as two men down.
If you can’t hold on the ball, you shouldn’t be in first grade.

Show me a player who doesnt drop the ball.

How does a player like Wolfman , he not only drop the ball twice and let in 2 tries directly resulting from the drop balls get picked at rep level.

So on your theory Dugan wont be in FG this week.

Some people have unrealistic expectations of footballers.

My only gripe with him really was his lack of effort in some areas... Dropping the ball once or twice is forgivable but his lack of urgency with that try he let in, due to his lack of urgency, wasn't...

BTW for all the people maybe going a tad over the top he did make more metres than any other forward out there so it was a fairly slack effort all round.

Also on total metres made... Dugan just took over as the player who has made the most metres for us this season.... Considering he only played half of it that's some mighty fine metre making...

His go forward has always been quite good, its his hands letting him down. He certainly wouldn't be one of the first forwards picked as he once was was a couple of years ago. Needs to lift his game imo.

He undoes all the good work through his hands. He can make all the yards he wants but if he keeps making costly mistakes they will continue to cost us. Don't have to look any further than Boogs to see how costly handling errors can be.

Lets not confuse the issue here. Thommos job is to cart the ball up, out of the red zone and get and a quick play the ball without dropping it. His job is to get yardage, nothing else. Just low risk hit ups,

That is ridiculous analogy. Again, Thommos job is to hit the ball and get a roll on. Thommo is not flashy winger

So on your theory Dugan wont be in FG this week.
Dugan’s job is not to do hit ups. Dugan is a very inexperienced rookie who plays fullback not as hit up forward

Some people have unrealistic expectations of footballers.
The other Raider forwards do not drop the ball at the pass, at the impact of the tackle or at the play the ball as much as Thommo.

TLL the week before dropped the ball rucking it upo and not the 1st time , Shillo has also dropped the ball. They all do it. I know Thommo drops the ball and it does seem to do it at critical times , but its ridiculous to think that he drops the ball more than any other player.

Your original statement was

If you can’t hold on the ball, you shouldn’t be in first grade.

now how can I confuse the issue from that.

Yes all footballers drop the ball.

Thommo drops it ALL THE TIME, and usually when we're rucking it out of our own end or on the attack in their red-zone.

He drops it more frequently and at worse times. That's my problem.

That’s the problem. When he drops it, its usually in bad field position on an early tackle

Sorry, you got me. I should have said if you are only a hit up forward, if you drop the ball, you shouldn't be in first grade,

Maybe Thommo should start wearing Gloves of some description Or apply a bonding agent to his hands prior to the game. I believe it is a lack of confidence stemming from his premature male pattern baldness that has led to the rapid decline of his ball handling.

Ok thats better :)

I just dont think he is as bad as what everyone is making out. I know he is guilty of dropping the ball but he does do alot of other good things. If he can return to where he was at the back end of last year before the injury we will have a very valuable experienced forward.
