Supergroup Christened To Wrights

The supergroup formed by Jet's Nic Cester has been christened The Wrights, in honour of Australian music legend Stevie Wright.

The Wrights, featuring Nic Cester (Jet), Kram (Spiderbait), Chris Cheney (The Living End), Davey Lane (You Am I / The Pictures) & Pat Bourke (Dallas Crane) will perform the Stevie Wright classic 'Evie' at the Tsunami Relief Concert on the steps of the Sydney Opera House tomorrow night (Saturday, January 8 ).

They first performed the song at the 2004 ARIA Awards. Their cover was re-recorded with original producer Harry Vanda and will be released as a single next month.

The complete single of 'Evie Parts 1,2 & 3 will feature Cester on vocals in part 1, Powderfinger's Bernard Fanning on part 2 and Grinspoon's Phil Jamieson on part 3.

Proceeds from the single will go to Stevie Wright and drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs.

I think both Kram and Rusty are on par as the most entertaining drummers in the country however I do agree Rusty is more talented.
