Tsunami Tragedy

Hey Guys...
Just wanted to post the below phone numbers/websites where money can be donated to help with aid to the affected countries.
Please donate to one of these organisations or just donate to the people collecting money in the shopping centres/train stations/malls...or start your own.
The Warehouse (my place of work) started a collection today amongst staff at both the support office and out in the stores...every little bit of money will help these people who have lost EVERYTHING.

I don't know if it has hit anyone personally but I have 2 friends on their honeymoon visiting family in Sri Lanka and it took me 2 days to find out that they were safe and not in the affected areas.
If you are looking for someone my heart goes out to you as those 2 days were very long ones for myself, and as several others on this forum would know it took a month to find our 2 girls in Bali, I don't think I could have waited that long again....

there was some pretty tidy work by volunteers at the cricket today where they were about a dozen otto style bins around the ground collecting coins and cash. I think they made over a 100K yesterday and they expect to break that today.

problem is/was, that decision to name Australian of the year was made well before Boxing day, but!! I hear yopu and agree with you and the process or decision should be reassed.

oh! I have no doubt who would be regarded as the most desearving it's just that bloody Ausies tend to get so friggen caught up with our Movies and sports personalities that those more desearving hardly get a mention.

If you ask the kid in the street who would they rather meet? Fred Hollows [RIP] or Shane Warne the answer is obvious!! not treally the kids fault it's what we as Australians pay more attention to.

Well if Australia truly does vote for these movie stars to win the award I'm ashamed................. Its a pretty wide open nomination form though. There are no nominees it's just pick a person, any person
