to be honest, as long as we don't get the insulting 9:30pm Saturday night slot that schedule is a compliment to the club. how many wooden spooners get a Friday night game 3rd week in?

I'm surprised we've been granted one, but no so much. Not many wooden spoon teams can boast having won eight straight and being dubbed one of the 'three sides' capable of winning the premiership in that round twenty six article.

Funnily enough, the three sides who had the form to win it (apparently) were Newie, Saints, and Parra.

i think he means that no other spoon winning team can say they won eight games in a year in total let alone straight...

(right stranger?)

Yep thats correct Alex

No Spoon team has ever won more than 5 in a row as far as i recall the record to be.

As for the longest winning streak this year, thats the tigers or Broncos i think.

Cowboys & Panthers won 7 in 2000 and 2001.

We are the best spooners ever in all stats.

Most games won, longest winning streak, highest crowd average. We hold the reocrd for best spooners, can be half proud of that strange season that was 2005.

\\\\:D/ First Friday night game in about 14 months in round three!! Funny that the previous years wooden spooners get "the match of the round" just three rounds into the year though. Apart from that, they are pretty sh!tty game times, esp 5.30 first round, WTF is with that!! That means that I'll hav to hope that my cricket team doesn't make the semis cos that will coincide with the Knights and the Knights always take precedence

Btw Jono, just out of curiosity, where did u get this from? I'm just finding it a bit hard to believe its actually true, because the official NRL site doesn't have anything. I also can't find anything like it anywhere else, thats all.

I got it from the Parra forum. I wasn't exactly thinking about it being fake, I cant see why someone would waste their time making it all up :?.
