Two great moderon guitarists graced sydney this w/end

1. V Festival.

I had no idea Mr Johnny Marr of the Smiths was in Modest Mouse!!!

I nearly soiled myself when I saw him walk out with the band.

They played a great set and Marr really did show why he is one of the best guitarists to come out of england in the last 20 years.

2. Black Crowes.

Last night, I had the privalege of seeing the mighty black crowes.

What a great band, and there is no better rock n roll guitarist around than Richie Robinson.

I had to laugh at all the guitar geeks ups front straining to see what he was playing :lol:

Two brilliant guitarists, and not a wanky metal solo amoungst them.

Wiser Time is may favourite Crowes song. She Talks to Angels would have been good too.

Solid guitarists at best much like Gilbey Clark lol

Black Crows did have some good songs back in there day, good ol fashion rock, just the way i like it.

BTW Ron, 'back in their day'

the black crowes have just released a new album that has some kiler songs on it....it's only those bands you like that have to look back 'in their day'!!

Awesome list ... f**k i wish i could have seen them, love the Crows. I would have done She talks to Angels last though ... would have been perfect for that to be the last song :)

Black Crows have had there day just like any other band who is currently not succesfull.
